Whish i checked these guys earlier.. there are 100 of similar complaints... in a nutshell these guys are most unethical retailers and outright scam artists. They advertise products at very low prices but then use bait and switch technique.. in my case i responded to an ad to buy a Nikon Lens that normall retails for $2200.. their advetised price was $1500, claiming its a gray market lens. A day after I placed an order i got a call from their "verification" department, guy name Ralph. the guy who called sounded very nice and casually started asking me about type of photography I do. then he proceeded to tell me that he just traded exact same Nikon Lense for what he thinks is a much better lens made my Sigma. he kep pressing on how happy he is and got my attention... i asked him for a lens number and suggested that perhaps i do some research and may switch an order if its in fact that much better. I did few quick Google searches and got medicore reviews...further that Sigma lens was listed for sale on a number of sites for $1000. I called him back and said to never mind and that i will stick with my Nikon order.. his answer was fine, but i dont' think you looked at the right lens.. make sure that the lens you reading abou has PE designation that stands for Professional Edition.. well the articles i found didn't nor I could find any PE lenses... after about a 20 minute chat on photography he came across very knowledgable and finally convinced me to try the lense which he would sell me for $1999 vs $2300 listed. I was follish enough to trust him and placed the order, which was Friday. My Monday my doubts got the best of me and i decided to check with Sigma.. well to my "surprise" sigma informed me that the lense i got was discontinued lense that sells for about $1200.. futher the PE designation stands for European Version REcylcled Materials... NOT Proefessional Lens. I immediatly called the store and demanded to stop the order.. rudly i was told that a. they cant.. b. i should accept the order then call back for RA number.. and then that there will be 10% restocking fee. I cant believe these guys are allowed to stay in business.. i am disputing this with my CC but hassle alone not to mention the wasted time... DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM... AS the saying goes.. if its too good to be true...
