Buyfixit.com Rips You Off New Berlin Wisconsin

Like another report that was filed, I also had problems with the website at www.buyfixit.com that sells Simoniz products. The main site feature is an order form, above which it says 'Just fill in your information below to start your order.' What the website does not state is that part of this info to 'start your order' is your credit card, and when you fill this in and click through to the next page, you have already placed your order. I entered my info, decided i was not going to place an order and backed out. A week later i got a box full of stuff in the mail. I received 2 of the fix it stuff, 2 sets of extra supplies, plus 2 vacuums and my credit card was charged $75. This is a completely deceptive (and probably illegal) billing practice by Simoniz (parent company Syndet Products Inc ) that I have not seen the likes of anywhere else on the net.

I called them and complained and got a very standard statement over and over. If i had wanted to make sure nothing was charged, i should have called their customer service number that was on the website.

It was so obvious that Simoniz trained their employees answering the phones to say this standard line! I asked to speak with a supervisor. I was told there wasn't any. I was told if i return it unopened within 30 days of receipt, it will only cost me $40 for the shipping and handling. This does not include what it will cost me to ship it all back to them. So....do I keep all this stuff for $75, or do i pay $50 to return it.

I agree with the other person that filed a similar complaint. This is completely deceptive and I have not seen any other site that handles purchases in this manner.

Is there anything I can do to straighten this out or make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else?
