This does not apply to the entire Buzz Telecomm Corp., only to the specific office located in Merrillville,IN.
No.1, They pay experienced web designers minimum wage with little and even no compensation for the work that is put into the websites. This includes selling customers extra options for their website, such as graphics, Flash features, and better quality sites, and over-all making the customer pay more for what should have been provided in the initial fee. All this "extra" work is performed by the designer without compensation at minimum wage pay, $6.25 per hour.
No. 2 During my length of employment, several customers who had been paying Buzz Telecom to host a site for them, never had a site produced and were still paying after as long as 1 and 2 years. The customers were promised things that were never delivered and when they were finally able to get through and cancel, they were refused a refund of their money and recieved nothing. This company should be investigated by a business bereau. This is illegal.
No.3 This company sells websites produced with pirated software and should be investigated. They also run illegal copies of Microsoft programs and I believe that is not the end of the line for for illegal practices which take place there. Such as, a contract that states Scientology is used as a practical way to run a business and is not a religion and cannot be used to determine pay or promotions within the company. However, my immediate supervisor was only promoted to his position by taking these Scientology courses which are used as an internal embetterment system for employees. These classes are mandatory if you wish to move beyond the minimum wage pay rate to a whopping $7-$8 dollars an hour. Their contract is false. Illegal? Perhaps.
As a result of these discrepencies, our web design team asked for these things to be resolved if they wished us to continue to work for them. Reasonable? I believe so. They ignored our plea to make these changes for the embetterment of the whole company and for the customers.
The entire department felt exploited and knew that customers were being exploited as well. Thus, the president of the company, Mark Krejewski, proceeded to terminate the entire department, knowing that he could easily find more expendables to replace us. I believe thqat justice should be served here and that this company should not be allowed to continue making bad business. Remeber this applies only to Buzz Telecomm & Web Design located in Merrillville, IN.
