I have been unfourtunate enough to deal with care credit.
To whom it may Concern:
I applied for the Care Credit card through Strax Rejuvenation. I went and was about to do a surgery but because I had high blood preasurre I was not able to, I was howver charged $5400, I called care credit and they said there was nothing they could do, then they said I had to call the merchant. I did, wasted 3 weeks and the merchant said they will refund it all except $575. I was outraged. I told them there was no way I will pay for it since I had no services rendered nor was it explicitelly written in the contracts. I then proceded to call Care Credit and spoke to a rep who said it was my fault i was charged and nothign could be done, that they could send me a dispute form but i will have to make the payments for 90 days until they take it off if they ever do. He was so rude and went on to say ' i already told you three times i wont say it again, iyou already know what to do, if you want to be stubborn go head" Incredible, never in all my life have i been mistreated by a call center. His name was Jeff or jeffrey. Its outrageous. I then spoke to a supervisor I believe her name was Dawn, she was even worse. I think she was ready to bombard me with an attitude and didn't let me finish and said" if you care about your credit you know what to do...then proceeded to say that regulation (--) makes me have to pay and if not they will report me, furthermore she said "if you dont have any other questions I havent answered I will disconect you" I aked her for her name and she said again " i am not going to tell you again, I will disconected you, I dont have time for you"...She then disconnected the call.
I am thrilled at care credit's level of customer service. I have never in my life been treated like this from federally regulated creditor. I expect and apology from care credit and I am sending this letter to their complaint department. I also expetc a resolution for my dispute if not I will follow legal actions or join a class actions. Unlike DAWN, I do no my rights as a consumer and will if i dont recieve an answer directly from Care Credit file a formal notification of complaint alleging numerous violations of the Consumer Credit Protection Act (15 U.S.C. 1601) on the part of CareCredit.
