I recieved a letter from Citi bank saying that they accepted the proposal from Consumer Credit Counseling Service on June 9, 2008. Then on July 3,2008 I got a call from CBCS Inc. They said they were a debt collector that Citi Bank hired because CCCS did not pay Citi Bank. On my Citi bill statement on June 21,2008 it registered that CCCS did pay them.

CBCS led me to believe that CCCS is a company that I cannot trust and that they will make my credit worse and they will make my interest rates go up high. So, CBCS insisted that I pay them. So, they talked about settlements, percentages, and monthly payments.

I don't know who these people think they are, but they were able to squeeze my bank information out of me and I had to agree to pay them. First thing Monday morning, I'm going to call my bank and make sure CBCS Inc can't get access to my checking account.

Something does'nt seem right and I'm going to get to the bottom of this!!!!!!

CCCS issues

AUTHOR: FormerEmployee - (United States of America)

The problem with CCCS is that they are just going to do the same thing that you already set up with this company, but the collection agency isn't going to give them the same deal they gave you.  your contacting this company was the best thing that you could have done from the start.  the problem with CCCS is that they just sit on the account, while you keep paying them and maybe one day you'll finally get the bill paid, but at the expense of your credit report.  the longer this bill goes unpaid, the worse it looks on your credit.  I'm a debtor advocate when it comes to how collection agencies treat the debtors, but this company was actually trying to help you out and trying to save you money at the same time.  plz don't let an opportunity like that pass.  i hope this information helps your situation and helps you decide that CBCS is really a good company who wants to help you get out of debt.

Now do you think there is something wrong with your description? You say the debt consolidation paid it in June well we're in July now so obviously Citi bank didn't receive the money cos they sent it to another agency! They should have got it now & perhaps you need to talk to them because it sounds like they didn't send the money to them!
