As a requirement for refinancing our home we had to pay off a collection with CBCS in the amount of $600. This was for an outstanding MCI bill - which we still dispute - but paid it off so that we could complete refinancing. Apparently CBCS did not or never report the pay off as we are still getting hounded by other collection agencies. The pay off occurred in late 2004. And I still do have the copy of refinancing paperworks that stated I have made a payment to CBCS in the amount of $600. How do I resolve this problem?
