Hello, my name is April **** and I have been scammed by Charles Collins the man that was leasing the track there in North wilkesboro. I was going to be a driver for him and I paid him 2,245 dollars for a driving school that never happened so I asked for my money back and he said that he would pay it all back to me...needless to say he did but all four of the checks bounced.
I have tried to contact him concerning these checks and he told me that one of his sponsors backed out therefore there was no money(only after the checks bounced did he tell me this) So he told me to come back up there and he would write me a check for the amounts owed. One check was in the amount of $1000.00 the second check was for $750.00 the third check was for $250.00 and the forth check was for $245.00. Everyone bounced I have been dealing with this now for 3 weeks.
I went up there yesterday as he asked me to be and there was about 30 workers there also that have not been payed for services completed. He did show up and then made some lame excues of why he needed to leave he said " I need to take the payroll to my accountant". And then he told everyone that he would be back at 1:30pm which he never showed up.
So we tried to contact him to find out where he was and what time he would be there and he would no longer answer his phone. His girlfriend Lola stated that he when up to a local diner to get picked up by someone to take him back to Rockingham where he has stated thats where he was going to get a loan by a man named Wayne Stogner. That "loan" was supposed to have already been approved per Mr. Collins yet when my husband contacted Mr. Stogner he informed my husband that he was not in anyway helping Mr. Collins.
I went to the court house and they told me that I needed to send a certified letter to Mr. Collins concerning the checks he already knows about and then wait 15 days before they could do anything. The reason why I am contacting you is because for the simple fact I do not want anyone else scammed by this man. I am sure that he is trying to talk to investers and other drivers and workers and I don't want them to make the same mistake as I have.

I'm so glad i searched this guys name because he's at it again and i was about to get sucked in. Hes in GA now. After seeing me in a store he came to my car as i was trying to leave and asked if i had a job. He gave me the whole spill about building a race track and starting a reality tv series on all womens racing.
When i told him i wasnt interested he then progressed to tell me that i could control his networking and getting sponsors for him. I gave him my email and phone number and he was to email me a packet with some info. Needless to say something didnt feel right so i googled him. (He told me his name was chuck. I didnt know his full name until it popped up on my email).
Thank god i found this as soon as i did.
