CHEEP TICKETS ORBITZ OUT ALMOST $8000 FROM THESE SCAMMERS Internet

purchased a ticket in 2011 for an international flight to India. Unfortunately schedule had to change. Called cheep tickets they said ticket was non refundable but could be placed on a 6 month hold and rescheduled with some minor fees.
OK no problem, did just that.
Well in April of this year try to reinstate ticket and for the first 2 days get the run around of who actually owns this ticket. Cheep tickets or Air India. So call Air India, No they do not all changes have to be made through travel agent.
Back on the phone day 3 with cheep tickets / orbitz and 3 + hrs later they agree they are indeed the ones responsible and would like to accommodate my travel plans but unfortunately the day / days i would like to travel they do not have the exact flight plan. OK check all the days around. On hold again. Hours later Lucy with Orbitz says they have no flights and the only thing they can do is reimburse me for the ticket minus a $200 fee.
OK i say. She says well it will go back onto the credit card used and you will receive an email within 24 hrs.
So 2 business days later still no email. Back on the phone i go. Same story to start with, asked to talk to a supervisor. Got a lady named Sydney.
She reads me off a line about non refundable ticket we signed agreeing. blah blah blah. I interrupt her and tell her what happened. You would think they would have some sort of record in the file on the computer.
She states that they are going to have to start an investigation and get the recorder call i had with Lucy to prove that is was what said. Ok how long it that going to take? We will get back to you.
Bottom line.
Do not use Cheep Ticket or Orbitz.
They really are no cheaper or more convenient.
Deal directly with the airline as you will get better customer service and indeed have no issues when it comes to things like this.
I hope everyone will stop using them and they go out of business.
