I needed LED Christmas lights and read a review saying Christmas Depot was reliable (obviously a plant). Placed an order and my credit card was immediately charged. A few days later I tried tracking the order with the order number they emailed to me but received a response that the number was invalid. I tried emailing them several times and have received NO REPLIES! I tried calling them and found the phone number is invalid. I am still trying to contact them but no luck so will have to report this as fraud to my credit card company and try to get a refund on the charge. BEWARE of doing business with this outfit!!!!

I'm sorry sorry to hear about what you're going through with this company.  I worked for this company back in 04.  This company was absolutely corrupt back then.  It's a great company if you place an order & receive it and are happy.  However, if you have any kind of discrepancy or what a refund it's an absolute nightmare.  When i worked there, we never had ANY actual contact over the phone or in person with online orders.  We were told everything is to go through the website.  This was for "documenting" everything.  We were told by the owner that if the customer was unhappy, have them send back the merchandise.  And even after the customer would do everything we requested, we still would not issue a refund.  We were told to constantly send emails claiming that we were "working on it".  When in fact the chance of getting your refund was extremely low.  The owner would always say "if the customer states anything bad about the company, then he would suit them & tie them up in lawsuits until they were out of money".  Back then i was very naive & his statements scared me.  But i wish i would have reported what i witnessed then.  I felt bad then & i still feel bad now hearing that this company is still doing the same exact thing.

After filing the initial report I continued to try to contact Christmas Depot. I sent more emails to the address that was supposed to be the store manager. I had about given up and was about to call the credit card company to try to get the charges removed when I finally received an email from the fellow who is supposedly their manager. It just said that the lights were (FINALLY) shipped. A week or so later the package arrived and the lights work.

One very misleading thing about their ad/website is that is says you must buy a voltage converter to use the LED lights. I ordered what they said was the appropriate converter for about $9 but when the package arrived I found that the lights work on 110V so no converter was needed. I just waisted $9 for something I didn't need.

The light strings seem OK but we'll see how long they last. I wouldn't do business with CHRISTMAS DEPOT again because of the very bad customer service. If I hadn't threatened to call the credit card company I don't think I would have heard back plus the contact phone number on their website for customer service is not valid and belongs to someone else who said they never heard of this business. I wonder how many people have ordered from Christmas Depot without getting anything.
