I received a check in the amount of $2950.00 from CIBC Financial Group in Canada with a letter stating that I was entitled to the sum of $125,000 once I deposit the check and pay the taxes that were $2250.00. I was very apprehensive about opening a letter that had no return address. The check looked very authentic and was drawn from a bank in NJ. The letter seemed well put together, but had some spelling errors with the companies that were listed.
