Complaint Review: CIBC
CIBC3674 Atkinson Loop SW Nationwide United States of America
CIBC Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce Created an account w/out permission from CitiBank acquisition - account on Credit Bureau report Edmonton, Nationwide
To complete the TD credit card application, I had to go to CIBC to request a letter that proved that I had no liabilities with CIBC. That would take 2 days. TD would not take verbal confirmation that I had no outstanding credit with CIBC, so that process will delay the TD Visa application.
My point: How did CIBC have the authority to issue a credit card that would show up on my credit bureau record when I didn't request or activate the credit card. The CIBC rep said it would take years to become inactive and cancelled. The card became active with the transfer of my personal information with the takeover of CitiBank's info in 2011.
Isn't that just wrong?
