I filed my taxes for the first time online with turbotax and thats when these $9.95 charges started, at first I thought it was a online fee for using turbotax but after contacting turbotax they told me they are in NO way affiliated with them. In no way did I sign up for such a program nor did I give them ANY of my bank information yet alone give them permission to charge me.
On my bank statement is a phone number of the merchant "CIC Credit Monitoring" so I called them up and got put on hold for 45 minutes or so then they hung up. I called again and I spoke with a lady concerning my problem and she asked me for my "LOGIN" information to access my account and I told her I don't know the login info since I NEVER signed up for any services from you guys, so she took my name and found my account and said it was cancelled and they do not issue refund. The following month I saw my bank statement and I see another charge of $9.95 from CIC Credit Monitoring so I call them up again and after 6-8 tries of getting disconnected (hung up on) I got a hold of a man and I explained to him I cancelled my membership and he told me no I didn't. I asked him WHERE did he get my personal information and he said he couldn't recall so I told him he stole it.
What I did to get them to STOP charging my debit card was have my bank put a block on that merchant. The only problem I have now is getting my money back if possible
This company is a complete SCAM if I ever saw one, they charge you and you get no service steal your personal info from God knows where, the most HORRIBLE customer service I've ever come across with ONLY one way to contact them to make canceling the membership impossible, I'm sure THEY signed you up for after they steal your personal info and to top all this crap off they refuse to give any refund.
If anyone finds a way to get our hard earned money back from these punks please fill all in.
