As soon as you walk into ANY Circuit City, there are HUNDREDS of signs posted about sales being final, going out of business, etc. Why can't people like this seem to understand that when a company is liquidating, it no longer is run by the same people? The liquidators now own the company, and are there to make a profit. They really don't care about customer service or anything besides pushing products out the door. You probably believe that a 70% off sale when a store is liquidating is actually 70% off. They raise the price before they mark it back down. People like this are why other countries make fun of Americans.

You answered your own complaint right there. Car repairs are guaranteed by Circuit City, but Circuit City "is no longer in control", the bank's liquidation companies now operate the store. Your car would have been eligible for repair if the store was not going out of business. Circuit City is basically out of business. If you have a mechanic replace your brakes, if that mechanic goes out of business there is not much you can do.
