The City of Rochester Fails to ENFORCE city codes, rules, and LAWS. The Police Departments Officers are deralect in their duties to enforce and uphold the laws.

Upon complaints in my nieborhood ( whic they encourage people to do ), i got call from a FACIT ( families in crisis ) officer through the PD. He told me I had too many problems and I was a problem, and I should move from my neighborhood.

We have lived at our place for approx. 6 yrs. now and have tryed to improve it.

The City of Rochester is all talk and no action. Then they wonder why there is so much violence.

The hispanic community recently carried over a downtown festival back into their neiborhood streets, threw bottles at Police, raced cars down the streets, and made NO ARREST.

On other occasions they do not use good judgement and kill people dead !! when it probably could be avoided.

They will give you excuses !! instead of Enforcing Laws and codes that are on the books !

Ripoffs of who the serve, corrupt, derelect in their Duties ?? I'd say yes,I've witnessed it.

I have to agree with you my friend. The police in the City of Rochester are getting lazy, scared, unwilling to take back neighborhoods from the violent criminals, drug operations and gangs that run them. I don't even understand it anymore, I have a night job in the city and I am constantly being pulled over for "touching the line", or "suspicious lane changes". I know, I know, everyone is the target of being unfairly pulled over by cops, but when I started keeping a record last year, I was pulled over 41 times in 2006. 13 of them were by the same officer. My vehicle is not suspicious looking (tinted windows, loud radio, everyone knows exactly what I'm talking about) and I'm very sensitive to following traffic laws and the speed limit.

I've called in suspicious activity in the rail yard and waited 40 minutes for an officer to arrive, then pass it's off as "I don't have time to chase kids around a train yard". I was chased once by a plain clothes officer in his personal car after he said I was "suspiciously looking at houses". What do want me to do when I'm looking for a place to pull over and take a call? If a man in dark clothes passes you in his car, turns around and parks on the other side of the street, then approaches you with his hand in pocket, what are you going to do? Then, after being chased all over the city, cornered by cops and forced to lay face down in the street, I told them what happened and they let me go without checking ID. I can't say I have the answer, but I'm sure the understaffed and overworked PD that the mayor has created isn't helping the situation.

Good luck and just remember to stand your ground. It's your home and your castle.
