I also got scammed with these companies and it has been nothing but a hassle. I have also filed reports with appropriate agencies to no avail. I have had a useless website that has been nothing but a farce to get up and running and the run around is ridiculous. Something has to be done about these scams.

The person who wrote that report admits to never having been a customer.

AUTHOR: Margaret - (U.S.A.)

Does everyone believe everything they read on the Internet? I've heard of cases when people design this kind of campaign against a company just to make some money. The strategy is to become a big thorn in the side of the company who is being attacked. Then, to make the false, negative press go away, the victim has to pay. It's called extortion and it's on the rise on the Internet in every form. Frankly, I think that's what this is.

The reason I think this is all bunk is the wild claims. I tried reaching the company you are all attacking, and someone answered the phone (with the name of the company) and was very helpful.

I also think the information on this page is phoney because of the absurd claims made about the Internet retail industry.

Anyone who claims that eCommerce is a fairy tale is living under a rock. Here's what the US Department of Commerce has to say about it (I found it at www.census.gov/eos/www/papers/2002/2002finaltext.pdf):

E-commerce 2002 Highlights
E-commerce, on a percent change
basis, outperformed total economic
activity in all four major economic
sectors measured between 2001 and
2002.
Business-to-Business activity, which
depends critically on Electronic Data
Interchange (EDI), dominated
e-commerce.
All industry groups in each sector
participated in e-commerce.
Most e-commerce occurred in a handful
of industry groups within each sector.
This edition of E-Stats provides a snapshot
of e-commerce activity for key sectors of the
U.S. economy for 2002 and revises
previously released data for 2001. The data
are collected from over 135,000
manufacturing, wholesale, services, and
retail businesses.

E-commerceboth its dollar value and
share of economic activityvaried markedly
among key economic sectors.

Manufacturing led all industry sectors
with e-commerce shipments that
accounted for 19.6 percent ($752 billion)
of the total value of manufacturing
shipments.
Merchant Wholesalers ranked second
with e-commerce sales that represented
11.7 percent ($320 billion) of their total
sales.
Retail Trade, the focus of much
e-commerce attention, had e-commerce
sales in 2002 that accounted for 1.4
percent ($44 billion) of total retail sales.
E-commerce revenues for the special
grouping of service industries created
for the E-Stats reports, Selected Service
Industries, accounted for 0.9 percent
($41 billion) of total revenues for these
industries.

This study was issued in April 2004.

Anyway, I'm going to do my homework--real homework, before I chose a company to go with. The advice here is shaky at best.

Unfortunately, no I did not find anyone that could help. I contacted several of the agencies, but, as mentioned above, they are bombarded with these types of complaints.

#3 Consumer Suggestion

There is only one way to get your money back and put an end to this fraud. I'm not going to lie to you here.

AUTHOR: Paul - (U.S.A.)

Forget the better business bureau. That's a waste of time.

http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff1343.htm

Read the whole story for yourself. Plus, there are many other pages of complaints here too.

The only sure way I know to get a refund is to go grab up the frauds that have your money. You torture them until they return it. No, not that silly-ass girly stuff the military did to prisoners. You want serious pain, and a whole lot of it.

Drill a hole in one side of the fraud's ankle and out the other. All it takes is a cheap cordless drill. The pain is so bad that the frauds will instantly give all your money back, plus some more for all your time and trouble.

You're drilling into a live bone. You'll need to hold the foot in a vice that's bolted down. The fraud will definitely piss himself. Probable vomit too. It's hurts bad. Actually, bad doesn't even begin to come close to describing the pain this causes. There are lots of tortures. Drilling into a bone is about the worst of them. It's way worse than chopping off an arm or leg. You'll see for yourself.

After one drilling, they'll give your money back. And, they'll be too scared to continue on with the fraud anymore. The memory of the excruciatingly bad pain you caused them will linger on until they die. So will the bone damage. Everyday, it'll be a reminder not to do things like this ever again.

These aren't real people. They're like rats. So, it doesn't really matter what you have to do to get your refund. After you're done, they'll hobble back to their holes.

Trust me, they have your money. They have a lot of people's money. The bone drill will definitely get it back. If you're serious about a refund, that's what it will take.

Adding to this report

AUTHOR: Barbara - (U.S.A.)

I also was taken in by Bright Builders, but it is also connected with IDI, Advantage Corporation, the Tax Club, Links 4 trade and World Wide Brands, plus don't forget NMR coaching. I never heard of CFK, but it must somehow be connected with these other companies too. I have turned a report into the Internet Fraud group and several reports to the BB. I would like to get involved in shutting these companies down, plus I really need to get our monies back. The real shame is I worked almost 1 year on getting this site up and running, with decent ranking. I lost 1 year working all day at work and working most the night and weekends on a useless site. This really is a crime! I am fighting to get lots of hard earned money back and could use help!

#6 Consumer Suggestion

This site is probably the best complaint you can make.

AUTHOR: Paul - (U.S.A.)

Mary, I expected this. Just from reading all the fraud here, one realizes that the world is overrun with it. No matter how determined the federal agencies are, they can't even begin to investigate and prosecute more than a small percentage of it. And, the frauds know that.

Plus, even if they are able to get cease and desist orders, the frauds just change names and start up somewhere else. In addition, the frauds are well aware that their illegal loot could be seized at any time. So, they hide it as soon as they get it.

That leaves victims with little or no recourse for obtaining a refund. Unfortunately, most victims are loathe to accept that. Many are just now facing the shock of the full realization of what has happened to them. To have that shock compounded with the fact that nothing can be done is more than most will accept.

Unfortunately, in all too many instances, that is the case. The fact that you verified this may prevent other victims from going on to spend more money and time on false hopes.

The answer to stopping fraud lies solely in educating people as to its existence and methods for prevention. By coming here and filing your complaint, you achieve the goal of educating others in the methodology of this fraud and giving them vital information to safeguard their own funds.

In many instances, that is the best thing you can do.

Fraudulent activity

AUTHOR: Mary A. - (U.S.A.)

Several of these agencies have gotten so many reports of fraudulent and deceptive activity that they are overwhelmed. Have not proceed with the AG or BBB but will possibly do that next. If anyone else reading these reports can be alerted to these practices, that is a help.

#11 Consumer Suggestion

Did you find anyone who was interested in your case?

AUTHOR: Paul - (U.S.A.)

I've been reading about this web counseling con for months now. Mostly, I concentrated on telling the victims where they went wrong. I explain that the library offers a vast selection of books on web site construction as well as starting an internet business. There's no need to pay some fraud all your money.

Obviously, that doesn't offer the victims a way to get one cent of their money back.

What have you found? Did you try the attorney general? What about the federal trade commission? Or the FBI internet fraud center?

Here are the links I have. I'm sure there are many more.

Here is the reason I'm asking. I haven't been defrauded. But, I come here a lot and read about others who have been.

Is there anything that can be done? Has anyone shown any interest in pursuing your case? What do people describe as the outlook for getting any money back? Have you discussed this with an attorney?

Please, tell everyone what you came up with. That way, they can join you in seeking retribution.
