purchased clearwire 12-26-05. of course it was a years contract of wireless internet. Paid $104.98 december

The bill till 3-06 was $24.98
The bill from 4-06 to 9-06 is $54.98

all payments $54.98 from 4-06 to 9-06 was paid by visa. They claim we owe them more payments of $54.98. Even though we have proof of a bank statement and from clearwire's internet site it was paid.

We Made payments by visa. I noticed something strange last month(august 15th 2006). I paid for my service. Then the next day they tried charging AGAIN (august 16th 2006). They Created fees and everything. Almost canceled my life insurane policy..I Did not get refunded for that.

Next month which is september 5th 2006 They charge me not once but twice again! Create MORE FEES. And made my credit card payment bounce right out the door to a different card. Which goes on my credit as a bad payment.

So we try contacting local branch of clearwire here in anchorage,alaska. Nobody will answer. We literally had to call technical support to say we have a technical problem with billing. He laughs and very nicely helps us. he states they have a invalid 2nd payment on hold with visa and wont release it. We said we are aware of it. He state he will email the main CEO. And contact us later in the day. next day no phone call . we call and he says the same. His name was mike.He says the same thing I will call you later today. Next day no call.
So we contact 1-888-clearwire since anchorage wont help. they state it was anchorage's fault at clearwire and nothing they can do. I have to contact them. But anchorage office wont answer our calls or the messages we left for them to call.

So today september 11-2006 and remember i ALREADY PAID $54.98 by visa.They mail me a letter for NONPAYMENT and is going to fine me $300.00 for the modem fee and $180.00 for the early termination fee if i dont pay them within 5 days...LMAO

So we call the out of state which is whom mailed this letter to us. They say its for a valid payment to basically screww off . The supervisor says we just merged with AOL. Im thinking that explains it all.
And we have to make this bogus payment or they gonna fine us this $480.00 and put it on our credit report.
The supervisor was MEAN and didnt care if we had proof they took the payment out of our account!

DONT GO TO CLEARWIRE!!!!! I called my bank Credit Union 1. They state EVERY credit union 1 member that has Clearwire. has been having the same problem for a few months!!!

I notice they hadn't asked my bank for money so we call them. They said no payment was made so we make ask them to swipe payment ( because they only accept Visa)

Well Sunday the 29th. We notice more money out of our account again. We knew they did it again but verified what they did with our bank. They had swiped it the day before we called to pay. Then lie to us on the phone they didn't swipe it. Then charge us again. What the hell is this companys problem with fraudulent charges every freakin month?

So now they have 2 payments once again on hold with visa.

Ok so still no refunds for the double charging our visa twice. Then they lie saying they contacted us by phone again oct.1 2006.
Then we made a payment in advance so they couldn't lie again and double charge us for this month too. But now they say its a problem for paying in advance. Its listed below. I wouldnt suggest this company. Stay clear of them. They are corrupted

Well we called sept 24, 2006. Bill isn't due till sept 26th.
We asked for them to charge the credit card.Guess what happens as usual the next day!

They get there money and then card got swiped again. So once again they had 1 payment taken out of my account and another on hold.

I filed false charges. Bank refunds my 2nd charge + Bank will get them now.
Thank God my contract ends december 26th,2006. I will never go throught his company again. Credit Union 1 says yup, they doing it to there customers!

By the way isn't this what most customers had problems with AOL? It's Kinda a quinky dink this didn't happen till clearwire merged with AOL.
Just my opinion is all =)

If a visa is declined it cannot hold VISA CHARGES not once but TWICE. This month and TWICE august (last month)

IF VISA HAS IT ON HOLD THAT MEANS YOUR TAKING THE MONEY! It has NOTHING to do with A declined VISA card. Thanks for the run around again. You owe me for holding my visa money TWICE.

You got your money off my VISA and Then swiped my card again in the same day! The bank has records of you doing this!
YOU ARE IN THE WRONG!

Its VERY VERY hard to believe your an honest company anyway when your anchorage company is swiping EVERY credit union 1 members visa cards twice. Well thats whom you blame is the anchorage company.

Which is funny cause I paid for my charge last month by the internet. Then the next day august 16th you double charge me. Which the internet's website isnt anchorage =)

Oh You state declined charges on my end eh? Why am i paid in full as of 9-5-06..Up to date?
Why did CLearwire take 1 payment 9-5-06 got it out of my bank then charged me again 9-5-06 in the same day and wouldn't release the 2nd payment? LOL

Thats not a declined credit card. Thats an accepted credit card!! LMAO

Oh they called gave us the run around also. Below what they posted is not what they told us over the phone. LOL. I'll wait till hubby comes home for him to type what they told us. But its basically they aint going to do anything once again.

They are not the brightest crayon in the box. I wasnt born yesterday NOR is a Credit Union Bank. Im on my banks side after reviewing my statement with them.

Ya i agree good bandwidth Terrible people to deal with there customers. Imagine i didnt have a problem until they merged with AOL.
The place that i left and signed up for clearwire because AOL had ripped me off. LOL

Well i figured as much. I cant send email now since ive complained. Hopefully someone stops these people. Expecially if im not the only credit union 1 member they have done this too.
I am still laughing the moron says we ran your Visa card and it bounced your bank or your bank was frozen.

What an idiot thinking we americans don't know if you run your visa through a machine and have no funds it says denied. If my visa/bank was frozen they would be authorized to cut my card up.

Of course that isnt the case when they wont Release the Visa charges they illegally took. That is credit card fraud.

We're Clearwire. We make it simple. My name is Brett.

First off let me explain why you were charged $24.98 the first three months. As you signed up for Clearwire Service there was a PROMOTIONAL 3 month period that was $19.98 plus a modem lease fee of $4.99. After the 3 month PROMOTIONAL period your service plan then automatically updated to the Clearpremium plan with that plan includesa service charge of $49.99 in your area with a $4.99 modem lease fee. All of these charges are correct, the reasons for the bounces off your account is our system automatically attempts to collect payment on the 26th of each month the reason for tha tdate is that is the date of the month that you signed up for service.

The reason for those bounces is that our system COULD NOT collect payment either meaning there is no money in the account or there was a freeze on the account. If you have any concerns or would like to speak with a representative about this issue please call us at the number listed below and we will glady answer any more questions you have with this. Also please note that I have saved a copy of this email for legal purposes. If you have any additional concerns or questions you can simply reply to this E-Mail, or contact us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by phone at 1-888-Clearwire. Your full of Crap. You collected it twice in the same day 9-5-06 which isnt the 26th then last month august 15th you collected it then on august 16th you tried to charge again . So thats 4 payments in 1 months span you tried collecting.
Then you send me a NOTICE the septmember 8,2006
stating if i do not pay within 5 days you will charge us $480.00 . We spoke to the supervisor september 11, 2006 when we recieved this letter she states this is invalid.

Let me fill you in on a Visa Credit Card Payment..If the FUNDS are not available it cannot create bouncing fees. It will say DENIED! REJECTED! NO CAN DO!
Don't you think the bank would know your a liar. The bank knows when you process our credit card. the bank doesnt lie when they say you are holding our MONEY and wont release it! You also by phone openly admitted it was the anchorage offices charging my credit card twice and there was NOTHING you could do.But yet you stated anchorage cannot do anything. Let alone answer
there phones or call people back that leaves messages. Mike also openly admitted to emailing your CEO because you wouldnt release our payments that you charged and wouldnt release. Which has nothing to do with credit card
rejections. My bank has records of you doing this and my payments we made EVERY month.
I will post this on the website for proof of another LIE! Go ahead and try me buddy your in the wrong.

I signed up for their service also. The local rep I called told me there was a 1 year contract but I didn't have to worry about it because if we decided we didn't like it or we moved or something, I would not be held up to the contract. I was to get 3 months at $19.99 or something like that, and then all I had to do was log on to my account when the three months trial was ready to expire and go to the regular monthly price.

Lo and behold, when the time came for that, I couldn't log on. My user name and password was not recognized. Now, they are charging me for the most expensive service and I have no way to cancel since I was not given a number to call. (Not to mention my billing error they tried to pull on me.)

I paid my bill (I was able to log on then) with a different credit card than the one I signed up with. I paid the month that was due the exact amount. A couple of days later, my debit card is charged .02 cents. I spent over an hour trying to explain to the rep that by no means was the 2 cents the issue, it was the point of debiting my bank account for an amount I did not owe. I told them they needed to put the 2 cents back in the account they took it out of. I was not going to accept a 2 cent credit on my bill. They gave me a 2 cent credit on my bill.

They have been calling me about the same thing. I owe this to them for that, I just humor myself and let off some steam in their ear. Yes, they are trying to get me for the same charges, but it isn't going to get them anyplace.

I don't have an address or I would write them and tell them if they want to push the issue, I will go after them for unauthorized debit and fraud. I told them when they took out the 2 cents (which they claim was some sort of tax) and was trying to get it back, that the service was great, but it was going to be the billing and customer service that would ruin them.

Any other unsatisfied customers of this sorry company?
