Gas furnace was short cycling, took more than 6 hours to get up to daytime temperature setting.
This company came and replaced thermostat, said that would fix it. It didn't. Nothing wrong with previous thermostat.
With service call charge and cost of thermostat, I paid $150.
I called, they returned twice, once to replace a switch, another time to replace condensate tubing. Furnace continued to have the same problem. When I called again, no reply. When I filed a Better Business report, they did not respond to it.
These were nice people, did not charge me for the two return visits, but the furnace was still not fixed and it was very cold weather.
Another company came, found that the heat exchanger was totally rusted and there was a crack. They replaced it, and now the furnace is working right. They said there could be carbon monoxide problems with this kind of furnace issue.
So, I have had to pay two different companies to fix one problem and only one of them actually fixed it.
