I noticed various charges made by CP Direct to my American Express Card in the amount of $46.90 for products that I had not ordered nor received nor.

On May 2, 2002 I called their customer service department for the fifth time. I spoke to a customer service representative, Marianne, who did not want to disclose her last name. I explained that during the past months CP Direct had made six unauthorized charges unknown to me in the amount of $46.90 each time and another charge for $10.95. I indicated to Marianne that I had called every time a charge had been made to my card when I received the credit card monthly statement to request that a credit was given since I had not ordered any products from CP Direct and I had not received any products from them either.

When Marianne checked the address in their database system it in effect was not my mailing address and she asked me to confirm my mailing address. Thus, she discussed the situation with Brian, her supervisor, who took over the call but did not disclose his last name either. Brian understood the situation and agreed to make a credit to my American Express Card in the amount of $292.02. In addition, I requested Brian to delete any information they had of me from their system and I explicitly indicated that CP Direct was not authorized to make any further charges to my American Express Card. He agreed to do so and I sent a letter by fax confirming the facts this same day.

On May 29th I was surprised to notice in my American Express statement that a credit had not been given by CP Direct. Instead, they had made a new charge in the amount of $46.90 on May 7th. I called again CP Direct and requested them to credit my card for the total amount of $338.92 and that they were not authorized to make any charges to my card. I faxed them again a copy of the letter that I faxed them on may 9th. hereby request that a credit be made to my card for the total amount that has been charged of $373.90 or I will take legal action to resolve this.

I contacted American Express to make them aware of the fraudulent charges that CP Direct was making to my American Express card and requested them to make an investigation and give me the corresponding credit.

So far I have not received any confirmation from CP Direct on the credit that must be given and American Express has recharged the total amount. I want my money back. This is a consumer fraud ripoff that need to be punished.
