I WAS SUSPICIOUS OF THIS NUMBER BECAUSE IT WAS VERY SIMILAR TO AN 866 NUMBER LINKED TO CPS. I GOOGLED THIS NUMBER TO FIND IT WAS LINKED TO COLLECTION AGENCY #'S THAT WERE KNOWN FOR DECEPTIVE PRACTICES. 20 MIN. LATER, WE GET A CALL, THE PERSON STATES HE IS FROM A TASK FORCE, & WAS JUST INFORMED BY A REP FROM CPS THAT WE TOLD CPS WE WOULD REPORT OUR CAR STOLEN TO COLLECT INSURANCE MONEY. WHICH IS FUNNY, LIABILITY DOESNT COVER THEFT. WOULDNT THE LEINHOLDER GET MONEY FROM ANY SECURITY INTEREST THEY MIGHT HAVE ANYWAY?
SO WE THREATENED TO SUE & THAT ENDED THAT CALL. I THEN CALLED CPS TO DISPUTE CHARGES DUE, AND THEY WERE UNWILLING TO ACCEPT ANY ARRANGEMENT, TOLD ME TO HAVE CAR IN DRIVEWAY @ 7PM. I STARTED QUESTIONING HER ON THE SIMILAR NUMBER, THE TASK FORCE,WHICH BY THE WAY CALLED FROM A 312 CHICAGO AREA CODE, THE IMPLICATION OF THEIR REPS CLAIMING THIS SO CALLED "TASK FORCE" WAS A GOVERNMENT AGENCY, ANSWERING THEIR PHONES AS "PROSECUTOR" OR "DETECTIVE".
I WAS PUT ON HOLD FOR AT LEAST 15MIN, AND WAS TOLD TO COME UP WITH THE MONEY, OR THEY WILL TAKE THE CAR. PHONE RINGS, & ITS REPO BOY,& HE TOLD ME HE COULD COME ON MY PROPERTY AS MANY TIMES AS HE WANTED, HE WAS GETTING THE CAR, & HE WOULD MAKE SURE WE WOULD NOT HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET IT BACK. CALL ME CRAZY, BUT IM NOT SURE THESE WEASELS KNOW WHAT THE FAIR DEBT COLLECTING PRACTICES ACT IS, BECAUSE JUST SEC.807 ALONE WHICH IS FALSE AND MISLESDING TACTICS, THEY VIOLATED 15 OUT OF THE 16.
THERES ALSO POSSIBLE VIOLATIONS WITH THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION REGARDING BLOCKING AND SPOOFING WRONG INFORMATION TO YOUR CALLER ID, AND THE SLANDER COMITTED AGAINST US ACCUSING US OF GRAND THEFT. CLASS ACTION PEOPLE, WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO US IS ILLEGAL, WE HAVE RIGHTS. UNTIL TODAY, I WAS UNAWARE OF MY RIGHTS. I AM SHOCKED AT HOW LITTLE I KNEW, BUT I DESERVE FAIR TREATMENT, BASIC HUMANITY IS TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR THESE DAYS. DO SOME SEARCHING OF CPS COMPLAINTS...YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
