I am not going to lie to any of you, I am currently an ex employee or I should say an ex Independent Contractor of CR England. I was an Independent Contractor For CR England for a month and a half. I was making anywhere from $900.00 to $1,000.00 dollars a week then get nothing. All of a sudden my mother passed away on the 29th day of October in 2010. I had to make an emergency trip to Arkansas, I was only gone for a week. Then on Tuesday November 2nd, 2010, it was payday so I looked online to see what my pay was going to be over a $1,000.00 dollars in the negative. Therefore they screwed me on my pay for the week before I left. I called CR England and they would not fix it. Mike Tucker the manager called me last Friday wanting me to be in his office Monday morning for a meeting. So when Monday came around I was at CR England like he said to be. He told me to come into the Burns Harbor Indiana facility. Mike is ahead of Chicago Regional. I met with my DISPATCH MANAGER which her name was Crystal. Mike Tucker didn't even show up for the meeting. Instead he left a note with my Dispatch Manager Crystal, to terminate me from employment with CR England. They said it was due to service issue that I was having. The only service issue I had was beginning to fall asleep at the wheel hauling a Conway load. So I pulled over for a nap, which also I was practicing safety. Well CR England may tell you safety is very important but CR England does not care if you end up dead or not. All they want is for the load that you have to be there on time. Plus it states in my contract that CR England is supposed to give a 30 day notice before terminating employment. As well as the employee is to give a 30 day notice before quitting. I never received a 30 day notice. Keep in mind they did this crap during the time of my mothers death. Also in the contract drivers are supposed to be fully or 50% reimbursed on most of the tolls I never ever got reimbursed for any of the tolls I went through. Also when I was terminated, I found out that I was allowed to keep my truck whether I was employed by CR England or not . All I had to do is make my payments on time.
When it all came down to it Crystal told me to turn my keys in for the truck. They made me pay $533.00 dollars a week on lease payments, plus another $201.00 dollars a week for insurance payments. I think CR England should be shut down for mistreating their employees and being corrupt. The Eagle Atlantic Loan Services that was created by CR England just so the government would pay the same amount the student's had to pay. The school costs $3,000.00 dollars. The government turns around and also has to pay the same amount that the student has to pay. The grand total that CR England gets from each student is $6,000.00. Also the Horizon Truck sales and leasing center was created by CR England so they can make a profit off all of the drivers that they have. I was treated very unfairly by CR England and was screwed over on my last two paychecks. From all the hard work I gave to CR England I would just like to see some kind of justice with the company. Thanks for reading my thoughts and concerns that I had with CR England.
