After talking to their recruiter and accepting a invite to their orientation,I was shipped off to salt lake city to begin my nightmare.upon arrival at their prison setting facility it started out by them not having a room for me and I slept on a couch in their tv lounge the first night.the next day I was roomed up with 8 other inmates...6 of them had multiple felonies!!talk about sleeping with one eye open..Anyways I went to England with my CDL and 50,000 solo miles with another company so I did a 4 day orientation and ten days with one of their trainers.when I jumped through their hoops and it was time to climb in a rig of my own I was told it would be a 3 to 4 week wait on a company truck.Thats when they started talking to me about leasing a truck from them.I was told that they have solo lease drivers making 80,000 plus a year and that was truly the way to go..I agreed and signed the lease.
The first month was ok,Iwas given a fair amount of miles and was able to keep the truck moving.once I got past that first month where I couldnt just give the truck back and walk away.I found myself sitting alot and losing money.Then it got absolutely ridiculous.Istarted getting negitive paychecks and owing them money at the end of the week.So it would take a 3200 mile week to pull me back to at least breaking even.
In the four months I drove for England I put in approx 30,000 miles my total take home for those miles was altogether about 3 grand.A wopping 10 cents a mile.They made a killing off me for hauling their freight and left me broke.
I recieved a message through the Qualcomm that said if I stayed out and ran through the holidays the compensation would be generous...Not True.I ended up sitting in a truckstop for thanksgiving,christmas and new years and didnt make a dime,in fact I owed them money again.I started complaining about losing money and the unfair treatment and I was laughed at...bottom line they will do or say anything to get your name on that lease,they they will ruin your life..They are famous for this.Watch out for these people,they will lie to you,treat you like crap.They will lead you straight into financial ruin and move on to the next person.
Word of advice,request a load to the house and empty that truck out,then request a load to salt lake and request an exit interveiw and explain to them you refuse to work 4 nothing and give them the truck back.

buddy im here to tell you i know how you feel. i went to richmond ind. school we got to the econo dump at 2;30 am and had to meet the bus to school at 5;30. to make a long story short i went threw all their bulls*** of backing not to brag but showed them i wasn't a dumbass. i could back and do all their manouvers just as good or better then he instructer could. did the 16,000 miles phase 1 but took 23,500 left at a truckstop in kansas for thanksgiving and had to pay for room myseklf and also the person i talked to said id have to ge my own way back to richmond or be terminated. as bad as i needed a job my wife gave me all we had in savings to get back. to richmond. got back there and did the phase 2 upgrade. what a joke showed my phase 2 trainer how to drive his own truck and the micros he didnt know them either. found out the day i got on the truck he was a a*****.
well being from kansas i was a biger one. got about 3000 miles in to phase 2 got a early reliease to drive. my final grade was a98 over all grad. the highest out of my class (started out 104 ended up only 4 of us was left. i got stupid and leased a truck. i made 3660 miles my first week. got to be close to home on christmas 2012 and finally got my paycheck on quael com telling my wife we could afford xmas this year. to my supprise it was a neg 78 dollars. neg 78 dollars. i was pissed. after i complained to my dm Bob Holmes my miles went to s***. i owed them every week. couldn't afford that any more. tood truck to burns harber not salt lake for their safty and did everything by the book and they still put they terminated me on my dac and i had a poor safty record. all bull***. i made them fix it and they did. they had no choise they were dam liers and liers from the start.
my wife told me its a shame that i got the highest score in our class and they try to ruion good people. i learned a lesson about this whole thing don't trust the trucking companys that if it sounds like its too good to be true it is......hope your doing better....kansas
