C.R. England C.R. England Lies to you from the recruiter to Chris Kelsey, the Senior School Director ! Burns Harbor, Indiana

 I was unlucky enough to go to C.R. Englands truck driving school in Burns Harbor Indiana. They bused
me up there from Akron, Ohio. I arrived there at about 7:30pm on the 3rd of Feb. 2013. A bus picked
us up and took us to the school where we took all of our physicals and drug tests, and filled out all the
paper work needed. That took about 3 hours. They sent us to a great hotel around 11:00 pm. We checked in and went to our rooms. We needed to be up b y 5:00 am to catch the bus for school. There are no food places any where near the hotels to get breakfast or dinner from. So we go to school with no food to start the day.

We arrive at school by 5:30 am and stand around for an hour waiting for class to start at 6:30 am. Still no food, We go to our class room and do what we are told. When we break for lunch around 10:30 or so and go to their cafateria to eat. They serve untill they run out of food, which happens about half way thru the schools pupils. So the ones who got there when they run out now have gone 2 meals without nurishment. This goes on 5 days a week, but on the weekends ( we go 7 days a week ) the cafateria is closed, so none of the students get any food untill they get to go back to their hotel around 5:30 pm. We are loaded with home work and expected to study as long as it takes. A lot of students get no sleep. THIS SCHOOL DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU ! They are nothing but a CDL FARM. They push all the information required to get your CDL in 17 days, that takes 3-4 weeks every-where else.

After 3 days you go to the BMV to test for your temp. CDL. Once you get your temps on Wed. You will go out on the range and learn the backing manuvers. When I was there this time the weather was really bad, 0 Temp with a 30 mph wind off of the lake. I froze to death. I started to learn on the road driving and shifting. That was Monday- Wed. I got very sick from standing outside for 8 hours in that weather for 3 days. I had to miss school on WED., but showed up on THUR. morning sick but there. They told me I was dropped from the program and had to pay my own way home. I did so and when I got home I ended up at the hospital. After getting home I started thinking, I was 2 days from getting my CDL, so I called my recruiter back and explained everything to her. She said I could go back and start where I left off. They sent me bus tickets for that Sunday.
 
I arrived there with my son this time at midnight on Sunday March 3,2013. They put us up at a Days Inn which we didn't get there untill around 1:00 am. We had to be at the bus by 5:00 am. When I got to the school class room They made me start from the begining again, and pay all the fees again. They ended up moving us to a Motel 6, 20 miles away from the school. The room didn't even have carpet on the floor. There were no resturants around, and a lot of resturants would not deliver there because they had too much trouble. I ended up going 4 days without food of any kind. I ended up going to the Senior School Director and complained about the conditions which went in one ear and out the other. I also asked that my bus ticket I bought to go home with be returned. He agreed on the second day of school to give me back my money. This is now the third week of school and I still haven't seen a dime.

I also got sick again from the weather and had to pay my own way home again, and ended up back in the hospital. I still have no CDL and was told I could never attend another school in Indiana again. This is not the place to go, there are better schools out there. I had to learn the hard way. If they would have started me where I left off I would have my CDL. My son ended up getting his CDL and went home to get a job here, only to find out they put a bunch of lies on his BCH report so he can't get a truck driving job anywhere. It's law suit time.
