I found this web site by accident after my son was already attending the CR England truck driving school in Utah. At first I thought this was just a few upset people until I read 117 reports, none good. My son is now among the numerous people lied to from the day he was contacted by their recruiter.
The living conditions from a report I read is VERY correct, the facility is run down, with bunk beds for 8 people in 1 room. The student loan they don't tell you about for $2500. Which is repaid starting with your 1st paycheck at $55 per week while in training, then $75 per week after that.
In the email that was sent they tell you to bring enough money for food for 3 weeks till your first paycheck, my son did not get paid until his 5th week. By that time we had already sent him an additional $1200 for expenses he was not told about.
After the 2 weeks in class, completing his CDL class and passing the state test he waited a week with NO pay to be put with a trainer. After he was placed with a trainer that trainer told him he was taking the week off. So he had to wait 3 more days for another trainer. The second trainer also correct my son on other things that he was lied to about. He was first told they will be getting paid .46 per mile, then it went to .36 per mile, when he finally left with the trainer it was down to .12 per mile. When he got his first paycheck it was for a flat rate of $61 per day.
After my son completed his 30 day training which is actually 15,000 miles (corrected by the trainer) my son then decided not to go onto phase 2, his trainer was then told by the company to leave him where they were. I thank God his trainer was NOT cold and heartless like many I read about. He took him to a truck stop about 300 miles from home.
