I had made payment arraignments for my truck they still sent to the auction. Credit Acceptance kept saying something about the type of contract that I signed and that they had the right to send it to the auction. Now all I want is my vehicle back and something legal done about these people. They say that they are helping people  rebuild their credit but that is a lie. They are doing more harm than good. It is best to simply not use these people they in all honesty need to be put out of business. They are not helping the economy now they are doing more harm than good. If there is anyone wanting to take these people to court then I am in. The more of us that band together maybe we as consumers not be swindled. I call this a scam in so many ways.

Wow

AUTHOR: LJGoose - (United States of America)

Guy... When you signed that contract you clearly stated that you would make your monthly payments to keep the car. Obviously you did not! What did you expect to happen? Did you expect them to be like all the other creditors and just let you not pay and keep the car?

In the contract (I have one infront of me right now) it clearly states that after 30 days of late payment they have the right to repo the car and do what they deem appropriate including auctioning the car regardless of any payment arrangements made as long as it is before they receive the payment that was agreed to.

In other words they legally own the car after 30 days and just like if you were to sell your car and back out before the other person gives you there money you can decide not to sell it to that person.

Read your contract and make your payments!

Something Legally Was Done!

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

Here we go again!  YOU agreed to make all YOUR payments on time, everytime.  They agreed finance YOU even though YOU have a reputation of not paying YOUR bills.  YOU failed to live up to YOUR end of the contract which YOU signed.  Because YOU failed to live up to YOUR obligations (just like YOUR reputation indicates), they took legal action to repo the car.

You want something "legal done" about these people?  What?  Let people like YOU welch out on YOUR obligations?  "Swindle" and "scam"?  You don't know what the hell you're talking about!  "Swindle" is when sorry sub prime borrowers fail to act like adults and live up to their obligations.

YOU have a REPUTATION of not paying your bills.  Why not take this opportunity to GROW UP and be an adult!

If you kept your arrangments, it wouldn't have been sent to an auction, the redemption department tells a repoed customer what they need to pay and gives instructions of how to reclaim the vehicle. Yes, once a vehicle is repoed, it goes to auction soon after regardless if some arrangement is made. The vehicle isnt sold right away so there is time to still get it back.
