CRST has asked me to drive my truck past my log hours and to push It they preach dont break the law the will do this on the phone ask them to put it on the quall com and they will back down. Or they want you to drive a truck 100 miles with a blown trailer tire while your hauling haz mat to save 10.00 on a tire. Tolls oh my god they will advance you toll money per trip that requires a toll the will charge you $4.00 for each transaction though not to mention if you have to cash the check or pay an ATM fee of $3.00. it adds up. Then they dont get the reimbursement on your pay and you have to fight to get it back. Home time whats that? They will ask you to stay out past the 28 days or not approve your home time forcing you out. I have been home 3 times in 9 months at 4 days each. This company does not care about your family or the drivers the talk a great game and never back it up. I have been told be my dispatcher the truck is our concern not your family is this what we want? If you can balance work and home and deliver on the promices you make and having a safe work environment you can do well anywhere. CRST will abuse, use and ask you to break the law and not pay you to do any of it.

POSTED: Saturday, October 08, 2011drivers do this because they need a Job. CRST has some good points its a great place to start to get training or if you are a driver with a poor safety rating and cannot get hired anywhere else this company will hire you without question.. good luck and stay between the lines.

Changes at CRST

POSTED: Thursday, January 27, 2011CRST is in the process of upgrading their logs to E Logs. You can no longer be pushed to run past your legal time.
As for the pay issues, you should really understand before you start how much you will be paid. For ANYONE looking to start at CRST, CRST will only pay you for half of the miles the truck goes!!!! That goes for companylead drivers and company teams!! If the company tells you that your rate is .49 cpm as a lead driver, it is .49cpm for half of the miles! Let me say this again, Lead Drivers do NOT get paid for all of the miles the truck goes.
CRST has the miles, you should be able to run enough to make it worth while, but trainers must want to train, not to get rich, but to make a difference in new drivers lives.
Keep on Trucking.
