Oh yeah, and one more thing for those who really do believe an online school is easy compared to the traditional ones. Try submitting a paper and have it pass the originality verification tool (OV). Not only does this effective tool go a step further in monitoring plagiarism but it also helps identify those students who wish to use someone else's work in place of their own.
I have interviewed for companies such as Lockeed Martin and impressed some of the best companies in my industry in my opinion with my Info Sec knowledge and I have started a great job as a Information System Security Consultant for the Federal Government.
I am willing to accept that there probably have been many students that have had problems in for profit schools but I have only had an all around wonderful experience.
In my opinion the 35k that I owe is nothing compared to the near 65k that I paid for my AS at a public school.
I spend an excess amount of time outside the class room on the phone and online with many of my instructors and in the additional LABS that are offered at no cost developing my skills in area's such as Advanced JAVA so maybe I just made the best of it.
I have never had as much support from other schools as I do still at CTU and I am currently considering returning for my MS.
I am not an employee if you wish to contact me by E-mail regarding the school I will provide you with any information you would like about my experience.
Please Don't Spam with BS (((ROR redacted)))
I Believe college is what you make of it, if they offer extra labs extra coarse work or added activities sign up. It is my opinion that you can have a good or bad experience at any School and it's up to you to take the extra step. The opportunity is available to you at CTU.
Thanks,
Mike

The corporation that bought CTU is now selling and closing some of it's campuses leaving thousands without schools. This corporation has run it's schools into the groud after recently buyinh them a few years back.

I am not paid by CTU nor do I think they are by any means perfect but they do a great deal of things that can benefit a student.
They provide you with a large collection of software to start with a copy of Windows XP a full version of Microsoft office professional edition and a great deal of other full versions of expensive software as you need it for future classes depending on what your area of study is.
I have news for all anyone that mentions getting kicked for not paying bills or being behind on payments this happens at every single university in existence you can not go to any class if your behind on your bills period. It doesn't matter if it is Harvard or MIT you don't pay you can't go to class.
As for failing a class because the teacher would not accept the 6th if you where trying to turn in your minimum 6th assignment for an incomplete as is required for standard CTU incomplete the teacher does not have to accept anything after the original due date it is at there own discretion some simply will not accept anything if it is a minute late to me this only helps improve the validity of the university they don't care if you fail you have to earn it.
In your post you mention being late on a cash agreement at CTU you have to at the very least E-sign a cash agreement to have one which means you signed an official document that stated you agreed to pay x amount in x amount of time this is a contract just like any other and once you sign it you are expected to pay it and if you don't you violate the contract.
If you refuse to pay your cash agreement you need to come up with other means to pay a private loan or other method or you simply cannot attend.
It is standard for any university on the planet you must pay your bills.
The online program at CTU is not a self paced program you have to keep active and punctual to keep up on things and it is not the right school for people who don't have 20+ hours a week to put into it.
I have been a student at several state colleges and got degrees from them and CTU to me was much harder than these schools.
It is a fact that you do not take tests or blindly memorize things that you are tested on but this is not the best way to learn.
At CTU you must do in the software engineering program if you cannot program or actively build and reverse engineer the software you do not get a grade. In schools I have went to in the past I took tests had set things I had to do that everyone else did and it did not teach me to think and act on my own.
In my time at CTU I had to think on my feet and build software systems and programs on my own and each student that did the work each had a unique way of doing things that made working with them increase the learning process even further the experience.
I have had published business professors that lectured at Harvard and highly sought after SANS institute instructors that teach security technology all over the world in my time at CTU.
There are Clubs such as the sports club that have had professional athletes speak about their careers and industry guru's such as Steve Jobs speaking in the Tech Club Meetings. This is all extra keep in mind but it is an added part of the college experience that I would not have gotten at any other School I could attend.
I am happy with my time at CTU and yes it was not cheap but it was a great experience for me and I would recommend it to anyone.
It is a business all schools at the college level are to some degree but they provide a great place to learn and a wonderful community that you will remain apart of long after you graduate.
Thanks,
Mike
