Cafe Cups Places order without confirming for a higher price than advertised, Internet

I never received the order but in several weeks started to get emails saying my credit card information had been declined. My credit card had been renewed in the meantime. After that I continued get multiple emails about the credit card being declined and was asked to log on to the website. I did in order to cancel the order but was informed that canceling would require a phone call. I called but after a half hour of being on hold, gave up. I sent an angry reply email to them asking the order be cancelled, which I got at least 3 confirmations that it was.
I then within a few days got a confirmation of another order for a different price. I went online to check in out based on the order number provide, but was informed that there was no order with that order number. I assumed it was a mistake until yesterday when I received a shipping confirmation.
I have never seen a website that requires credit card information to start the buying process. I should have known better.
