I am seriously concerned about talkings and rumors we have heard about misconduct in the Camperworld office. We have been members for many years and have lived through the last hostile take-over attempt, approx. five years ago, by one of the founders sons, and the lawsuit that followed. Turns out that he lied on multiple levels and was attempting to take over the business for his own personal gain. Now we have heard that he has done it again. only this time to prevail with duping a newely elected Board to oust the founder and President of the company, along with several long term employees that were loyal to the company. We have heard that there is a wrongeful conduct lawsuit that has been filed with the courts in regards to their behaviour. We were supporters of the original founders of the company, and were not fooled by the underhanded dealings of the person trying to take over the company. We love our membership and have faithfully paid our yearly dues to enjoy the facilities. However, we will not continue to put money into a company that has now been hostility taken over by people we have no trust in. I do NOT want to pay yearly dues when the future of the company looks slim to none. I would encourage other members like myself to call the Camperworld office and demand to know what is going on. We were approached also by Camperworld to "upgrade" our membership. We attended a meeting, hosted by a shady individual, who high pressured us to upgrade our membership to "save the company and our investment". I guess now we know what that "investment" was for - for certain individuals to take over the company and further their investment. My husband and I will be seriously thinking about either cancelling our dying membership, or furthering our investigation into what exactly is happening with Camperworld. Buyers beware.
