I have been trying to get my refund for approx 4 months now. This company is a website that sells used cars. I was contacted by them because I had my vehicle advertised in the Auto-Trader. I wasn't really interested as I had just paid $80 to advertise in the Auto-Trader. After my two weeks were up with the Auto-trader and nobody offering me the money that I wanted for my vehicle I decided to check out CanadianAutofinder.

The Salesman told me about their 'No Hassle, 90-day Money back guarantee and that if I didn't sell my car within the 90 days that I would receive my $150 + GST back. The 90 days went by and I did not even have 1 phone call from someone interested in my vehicle. I completed what they needed in order to have my refund processed (Notarized copy of my registration as well as their form).

I sent to refund request to them on October 30th by registered mail (I had my vehicle on their website on July 19th 2006). The package was delivered to the post office on October 31 and was waiting on a signature for release. The package was finally picked up on November 27, after a month of calling asking if the company was going to pick up the letter.

To this date (Feb 26) I still have not received my refund. I am well beyond the 2-4 week period in which the refund was supposed to be generated. I have called on average once a week for the last 3 months since the package was received. I continually get the same answer from the company, "The refund is sitting on my desk waiting to be signed by the manager, and this will probably be done either this Friday or the next". Every time I call I get the same answer. When I ask why my refund has taken so long the company just responds that they only do a few refunds a week.

I filed a complaint with the BBB and they have not responded after the 3rd try.

Do not advertise with this company. I have no idea if anyone has been able to get thier money back from them, but I suspect that they try to make it as difficult as they can to make you give up. They have admitted that they have all the info and everything is correct in order to process my claim, but they will not for some reason send me the refund.

Watch out for 90daycarsale.com as well as my vehicle is listed on their website as well.
