I recently had some overdraft fees charged to my account that I feel were not my fault and should be refunded to me.
The Bank I bank with refuses to refund me.

I just bought a car and My Car Insurance  Company was suppose to bill my account the 2nd of every month,  which would of been April 2, 2012, and instead they billed me March 29, 2012.  This caused an overdraft fee. Then, the phone I bought my daughter was stolen and I guess these people hacked the phone that was directed to my account and made some charges to a porn site and caused me those charges and more overdraft fees. My bank will not help me recover these overdraft fees even after the Porn site refunded my money back to me. The day I found out the phone was stolen, i deactivated it.  It is no longer in use and we have no idea who has it.  Its gone. Because of these charges and overdraft fee's, it cause a vicious cycle of  other checks  to bounce and more over draft fees which my bank will not help me recover. [continued below]....
.....

This is a new Bank Account.  I am on Disability and I only get 743.00 a month and my bank took 663.00 for all these charges.  I can not pay my bills now and I am having to borrow money from those loan stores and owe more money out.
Please please help me.. This happened once before when a business took out of my account when they were not suppose to and my bank would not help me with recovering any fees. In order to get a discount from my Car Insurance Company  and other bills, they require you to do automatic withdrawls on payments due.  This is how I have to pay my bills to survive.

Bank

AUTHOR: 37743 - (United States of America)

I feel the bank should at least return some of the overdraft fee's to me as a one time curtisy.  This one transaction from my car insurance has caused me a change reaction of overdraft fee's  and other checks bouncing, which was out of my control due to the Car Insurance trying to get early payment.  I had called my car insurance and had them fix the payment dates to what we originally agreed on and they apologized for the mix up.
My Disability check should of deposit on the first of the month and instead the bank held it until the 4th to deposit causing more damage.  I had gone in on the 1st to inquire about if my check had deposit yet for 743.00 because I was aware of what had just happened and I knew I had 2 other checks out there that were going to come in.  The First teller told me it would deposit the next day.  When it didn't show that my disability check didnt deposit the next day, I went back  into  Bank and asked to see the bank manager  and explained what was happening and she told me that they had it and it will deposit on the 4th.  I don't understand why they held my check when they knew of the events to occur.

As soon as I found out my daughters phone was stolen, I had also reported to phone company and had it turned off immediately.   Those charges from that porn site I was told should not have gone through either, stating that the bank allowed it not the porn site..That porn site said it was a verification not an actual charge and the bank should not have allowed any charges to go through. My email address is luv2drvtopless@aol.com  or you can reach me at phlebotomistma1@aol.com   my number is (((REDACTED))) thankyou. I am begging you to please help me at least get some of my money back.  I have no other income.

Okay, it's not your fault......

AUTHOR: Ken - (USA)

Whose fault was it?  The banks?

THEY didn't cause the funds shortage either.

The worst thing you appear to have done is  borrow money from "those loan stores.'

If you mean payday loans, you will soon see how this will quickly sink you.

The interest rate is in the triple digits....good luck, you're going you're going to need it.

You might  be better off forgoing the insurance discount and paying by check or cash.  This sure didn't pay off.

Repeat lesson.

" I just bought a car and My Car Insurance  Company was suppose to bill my account the 2nd of every month,  which would of been April 2, 2012, and instead they billed me March 29, 2012.  This caused an overdraft fee.  "

This is what happens when you give a company free access to your bank account.   The bank is not responsible if they screw up and it results in an overdraft.    Technically, the insurance company is responsible since it was their error that caused the overdraft.  Good luck getting them to make good on it.    This is the number one reason why you shouldn't allow anyone access to your account.

"  This happened once before when a business took out of my account when they were not suppose to and my bank would not help me with recovering any fees.  "

So, how many more times does this have to happen before you figure it out?    This is not an issue with this particular bank.    All banks treat this problem the same.

" In order to get a discount from my Car Insurance Company  and other bills, they require you to do automatic withdrawls on payments due. "

How's that discount working out for you?    When you go to the grocery store and the checkout person gives you the total, do you just hand over your wallet and hope they'll take out the right amount?   Of course not.  But that's exactly what you're doing when you allow companies to dip their grubby fingers into your bank account.
