*Consumer Comment: Well, Jimmy, has Cap-One (I have seen some post "Crap-One") trashed your credit rating?
Allowing charges that were not authorized and then ignoring the dispute letter sent to Correspondence and Complaints because the response time had expired. The dispute letter was deliberately mailed to me late and the date for a response had expired.
Monthly statements to me arriving late and then being charged a $29.00 over limit fee month after month.
Annoy persistently with phone calls day after day. Relentless calling any time of the day.
This is very cruel, and hopefully unusual treatment from a bank. Capital One discouraged me and deprived me of confidence in any bank. Never again Capital One.

Jimmy, Your not the only Canadian customer to have capitalone problems. You can read my compliant and I know all about the $29.00 fee thing.

I don't like the way Captialone does business and think they can treat their customers better than this...

Many CC banks have gone to 20-day grace periods, but that 20-day clock starts ticking as soon as they print your bill. Subtract 3 days for them to mail it and 4 days for the USPS to get the bill to you (or vice versa...) and you have about 5 days to return a payment check.
You make it sound as though C-O has "improved" on the standard, and very tight, 20-day grace period. Maybe C-O starts their 20-day clock when they start making the paper that they will then print your bill on.....??
I have read complaints here that C-O does NOT report your credit limit to the credit bureaus, which then causes the credit bureaus to treat your C-O card as being maxed out because the credit bureaus will assume your monthly blance is also your credit limit.
I have shredded more than 35 C-O credit card offers this year. And there is another 5 months to go!
PS: The charge dispute form ("request for a chargeback" form) should be routinely included with your bill every month- often it will be printed on the backside of your bill. Many CC banks have a web site where you can review your bill, make a payment, OR file a 'written' chargeback request. If C-O requires you to request a chargeback request form be mailed to you whenever you want to protest a charge, then heck yes, that is another reason to dump their card.
