This company, Select recovery agents in Richmond VA area, acting for Capital One, failed to follow law and company procedure in an expected REPO of a lemon car. I have paid the the full loan amount with $6,500 interest remaining.

The total payment left exceeded the loan agreement for the last several years. Capital One refused to show me any billing details to show why in-spite of repeated requests. The repo owner stole easily resell-able personal property I had not removed, and made no attempt to contact me based on Capital One's own claimed policies of prior notice attempts so I could remove it, give them the keys, and be done with years of an unpleasant experience with Capital One loan servicing.

Most property was removed, as I had a long history of abuse from Capital One Auto and low expectations for them to follow their own guidelines or the law. Capital One will face legal action as a result of several violations that are now fully actionable.

I will update for conclusions. This must be public info. Clearly, they expect to be untouchable and above the law from most people in this situation who are in some sort of financial hardship. Usually true. Not This time.
