My wife's van recently broke down and needed a new ECM. I called Brian at Car Computer Exchange and spoke to him a few times through email and phone calls. He told me that he needed the actual part number on the ECM before he could ship one out to me because there are a couple of different ECM's it could be. I mentioned to him that my wife's original ECM from her van had been remove and sent to the wrong place and that I was currently waiting for it to be returned. Brian then took a guess (Not knowing which exact ECM I needed) and sent me out an ECM about a week and a half later or so. By that time I had already purchased an ECM from someone that ly had my actual ECM part number from a previous conversation I had (Auto Computer Exchange) a day or so before I spoke to brian. I returned the ECM to Brian at Car Computer Exchange since he sent me out an ECM based on a guess because I didn't want to damage my wife's van. About a month later after a few calls about my return I noticed that I was only refunded $160.00 out of the $310.00 I paid for the ECM. When I called and spoke to Brian he didn't seem to care even when I explained that the ECM they sent me was based on a guess and not the actual ECM numbers from my wife's van. This place is a total rip off and this is how they make there money. By robbing people of their hard earned money.

Still Refunded even after 14 days

AUTHOR: CCEX - ()

POSTED: Thursday, June 26, 2014

From your report you state that you received a partial refund and that you returned the item a month later. You also state that you did not have the orginal part # so we had to guess which one to use. We definately try to help you get the part as fast as possible when you dont have the original part # it does delay things we state this clearly on our site. We also state clearly on our site that there is a 14 day refund policy and after 14 days there are no refunds. You returned the item after 14 days and were still given a refund although it was partial we were not obligated to give you any sort of refund but we did anyway. We charged you restocking fees because you were outside the 14 days and in order for us to resell the computer we have to reprogram and rework for another customer.
