Car Max -

After purchasing a 1 year old Chrysler Mini-van, the sliding door on the passenger side stopped working.  Car Max would not cover the repair becuase the car had just crossed over 36,000 miles.  Chrysler quoted nearly $800 dollars to repair the door.  We drove it less than 4,000 miles as it was approaching 2 years old.  But the warranty is 3 yrs/36K miles.  Within 3 years but over the mileage limit.  But what the h*ll?  The door is not like a powertrain component where mileage has a direct correlation with use or wear.

I will never by a GM product again and warn anyone else thinking about buying one to buy a Ford or Japanese automobile.  Pay the extra money and get the Honda Minivan!!!!!

If you have advise on where to Blog about it, or who to contact that might be able to help, or where to buy the door parts inexpensively, please reply to this post.

Hate GM Chrysler!!!!!

A couple of things come to mind....

AUTHOR: Ken - ()

First, the terms of the warranty are for specific time/mileage and you HAVE exceeded the mileage... They owe you nothing.

That's what a written warranty is for, to spell out all the terms for both parties.

I also gotta wonder when GM started building Chrsylers...is this some new development?
