Care Improvement Plus Rips off old people enrolled in their medicare advantage insurance plan Abysmal customer service and claims processing, deceptive enrollment practices Columbia South Carolina- Mekmbership Services Main Office Baltimore

Care Improvement Plus is a medicare advantage plan that enrolls senior citizens with chronic diseases. Such people are obviously compromised, and cannot handle the likes of Care Improvment Plus without an advocate. Care Improvment Plus claims processing and customer service are abysmal. I had to call on one issue about 20 times over a five month period.

This company resists paying claims and engages in deceptive practices, attempted to tell me in January in an intimidating way that my parents could not disenroll from their program. Not true, and if I had not known Medicare rules (as most elderly people don't) I would have fallen for this.Then they processed premium payments through my father's bank account, then a month later they denied agreeing to coverage for an additional month since they had already processed the premiums, and in spite of telephone conversations with their rep in which she agreed to cover my parents through January, and my CERTIFIED letter to aformentioned membership services rep in South Carolina as a back up to our phone conversation.

This is a dishonest company out to make a buck off of vulnerable old people. The San Antonio branch alone has been fined twice in 2008 for a total of $75K by Texas Department of Insurance. Companies don't get those kinds of fines for minor infractions. Find another Advantage Plan!!
