This is such a bunch of BS! It is unbelievable! I had 2 promotional loans from GE/Care Credit/GEMB one was on 6/6/2006 ($3000) which was suppose to be a no interest loan for 18 months not so near the end they tack on a 21.99% deferred interest and I also had another loan in May 2007 for ($2500) which was a promotional check. I never received any notice that they were going to allocate my payment differently they just did it according to them they can allocate anyway they choose not the consumer!! :(
I have been paying on it for the past 18 months. I noticed in November the 847 that I sent in was not applied to the 6/6/06 promotion so I called and asked to have it reallocated towards the 1655.48 that was due before 21 December, Mark said he took care of it and the balance due on this promotion was 647.46.
I made another 1100 payment on 3 December and called 2 days later to confirm that the payment would be allocated to this balance. I thought it was taken care of NOT! I got my January bill and they charged me 965 dollars in interest!
I have called several times and ended up telling them I hope they rot in Hell and one I told to go to hell which I never ever do. after all I got was "I am sorry" but we can't help you *in other words you are SOL. I have never seen a company like this before. I talked to another supervisor today who said that I was suppose to pay the whole amount of both promotions by December 21 and that is why they charged me the finance charge. It NEVER said that on the statement nor did they disclose this when I called.
This company is deceitful, lying pack of wolves, unscrupulous vultures. I have filled a report with FTC and will be sending a complaint to my Attorney General and may even take them to small claims to recoup my loss. I have written to the address on the back of the bill for billing inquiries but after dealing with everyone else am not holding my breath!
I have cancelled this acccount and paid off the entire amount except the 962.46 they charge me with I feel is wrong, they started allocating payments to the other promotion loan in September I notice in November and it says on thier website that you can ask to have payments reallocated call 866-xxx-xxxx...this is a Lie from the pit of Hell!
Lets band together, contact the FTC, attorney general, take them to small claims court and pray someone files a class action suit against these liars.
