Career Network, Inc. Internet scam directed at online job seekers via email Orlando, Florida

I received an email from a Greg Klein of Career Network, Inc. regarding a job for which I was informed I was a good fit.  I have only applied for jobs online through very reputable job boards, so this fraudulent entity could only have obtained my contact information from a valid source.  I recognized the email as bogus immediately.  This is not a very sophisticated scam, however, I can understand why job seekers may want to proceed to verify its legitimacy. 

Career Network is obviously a scam of some kind.  I marked the email as spam and just wanted to alert others.  I also plan to report this fraud to cybercrime.gov and ic3.gov/complaint.   Warning:    The email this phishing scam sends out includes an "unsubscribe" link at the bottom.  Do not click on the link on this or any other email from a service or company to which you have never subscribed in the first place.  That is the way they collect their contact list to perpetuate this spam attack or possibly infect your computer and spread their disgusting attempt to obtain personal information from unsuspecting job seekers. 

Thank you to all who take the time to report this type of activity.  If we all continue to report this abuse to sites like Ripoff Report, governmental agencies handling internet crime, and applicable state attorney general offices, we can put fraudsters like this out of commission more quickly.
