POSTED: Saturday, November 14, 2009I should have said "many complaints" I dont know for sure that there were 'thousands" but there have been a lot against Ramada Plaza Resorts. Actually this is NOT a scam. It is a package vacation utilizing rather basic hotels and a second rate cruise line (compared to Carnival, RCI etc). Prices are pretty cheap but some say that it would be cheaper to arrange it independently. Some travellers liked the hotels and ship trip.
The biggest complaints came from individuals who decided they wanted to cancel and had a problem getting a refund. It IS possible to get a refund but you have to write a legal letter with copies to various state officials and make it obvious to Ramada Plaza Resorts that it would be better to simply pay you off. This has been done many times.
