Carmax Took my car in at least 14 times within one year due to so many issues Tucson, Arizona
Hi my name is Dennis **** I purchased a car in December of 2011 a 2002 Ford Focus from the Carmax located at 4755 North Orcale Road, Tucson Az 85705. Since the date I took it off the lot I have had nothing but issues with the car. In the first week I had to take it back due to the alternator going out and driver mounts needing to be fixed had to take it back twice. I had to take it back several times at least a dozen or more in the last year. I found out Carmax put in the wrong sized battery and the alternator went out again within the same year.
I was told by one of the reps in the service department it was because Carmax put in a cheaper alternator. I have had to fix the driver mounts, the wheel barrings, brakes which is common I know. The main concern I had is when I was told the axle was bent and it should have never went off the lot this way. I traded in a car that was not reliable to get a car that should be relaible. I am making car payments of $303 a month to not have these problems. How is this fair to me that Carmax put a car on their lot that has so many problems. I tried to get financed at Carmax but I seem to be stuck with this car. Something needs to be doen about this.
Carmax's reputation is to take care of their customers. I spent almost $500 on car repairs last week and I am already hearing noises again. I now have to take this car back in. I am so frustrated with the whole situation. I need something relaible not something I have to take on once to twice a month. Carmax needs to do something about it an take care of it. It is costing me more money than I was spending on my old car. This whole situation is causing me anxiety and bringing tears to my eyes. I am embarrased when people ask me why I have to take it in so much. Please do something about this.
