I have two cruises booked with Carnival Cruise Lines for October of 2013 back-to-back for my honeymoon. They are both paid in full and under Carnival's Early Saver program. I check the website a couple times a day for new deals hoping for price drops, I usually find a couple in the months before my cruises. So, I have never found a large drop in price before and therefore have never had a problem before now receiving price adjustments.
April 16th at 12:30pm I saw a huge price drop on both of my cruises.... they had dropped from a base price of 609 and 619 to 499 and 489, and on top of that the upgrade cost had dropped from 60 pppd to 40 pppd, which would have netted me almost 500 in on board credits per cruise!! I was very excited by this. So as usual I noted the cabin numbers and decks I had gotten these prices off of and immediately filled out the Early Saver form to receive my price adjustments.
Later in the evening I received my new bookings, however instead of the 500 credit for each I've only been given 60 for one and 80 for the other....what happened? I then sent an email to customer service detailing all this and asking that they honor their program. I received an email in response saying I had look at the Junior Suite price not the Grand Suite. I have sent two more emails clarifying that I had not in fact looked at the wrong category, gave the actual room numbers of the prices I looked at (one is the room right next to mine) but have so far received no response.
I am frustrated by this.....and I would like the agreement honored, why else would I have roped myself in with this crazy deposit scheme, not able to change anything pricing system. I have done my part now Carnival should do theirs, not reply that I looked wrong!
