Original Lay away was never initialed or signed by myself!
02-01-05 I was making payments until I had to got o Fla. unexpectedly to help with care of my elderly father. I was gone several months. I recieved nothing from North Carolina Furniture.
10-25-05 I waqs going thru papers when I came across the Lay Away Paper work.
11-01-05 I contacted North Carolina Furniture explaining to them, and apologizing to Judy Trivett Perry, the store manager, whom I originally put the chair on Lay Away with.
At the same time I informed her things in my life had changed. I had to help my dad financially. and was living in an RV which didn't allow for methe luxuaryor even a place to put the chair.
Judy called me back saying, I would not be able to get a refund! OF ANY OF THE MONEY I PAID INTO THE LAW .AWAY
She also told me they still had the chair in the warehouse, and I would have to pick the chair up and pay the remaining balance within 30 days, or I would lose my money i had paid.
12-05 Due to the Holidays it was very difficult to get in touch with Judy. The next time I spoke with her she informed me , bookkeeping had no records .I would have to produce payment receipts.
I located the original invoice and payment sheet. I had attached to it, listing check numbers and amounts! I jhad paid a total of $800.00 on the $1,798.99 ..leaving a balance of $1,030.98..
01-06 Last conversation I had with Judy was Bookkeeping had no records and i would not be able to get the chair.. the $800.00 was non- refundable.
I asked Judy if I could speak with someone over her, as I thought this was unreasonable.. she replied to me, No, she said, she'd talk with a man named Jeff.
The receptionist asked if this was about the chair.. I said yes, she then informed me i could not get the chair as they did not have it and i would not be getting a refund of my money..
I asked the receptionist who Jeff was? She told me he was the owner! I asked for his number and she wouldn't give it to me. he never called me back like i asked them to have him do.
I have called several times stating I have not heard from Jeff or anyone else on this matter. To this date.. I have not heard from anyone .
