I currently work at one of the Carolina Trail golf courses. I wish not to disclose which one because if someone in upper management reads this then I will be fired.  Thats right...fired for telling the truth and standing up for whats right.  That is something that these people do not belive in. 

I have worked for this company for over two years now and when I started paychecks were given out every other Friday ON TIME.  As time went on, checks were then held to the following Monday.  This went on for some time and checks were always given out on Monday.  Then sometimes checks would bounce or be given back to you at the bank but would be made right the next day.  Out of nowhere, checks would not be given out and no word as to why was ever given.  Employees and managers were kept out of the loop as to why this was going on except that there was "no money."

This I find hard to believe since our parking lot and other courses lots were filled on a daily basis and there were no more golf carts available to be given out.  Checks would finally be given out on Thursday, six days after they were legally supposed to be given out.  This day was eventually pushed all the way back to the following Wednesday!!! This, mind you, is twelve(12) days past due.  During this time, there was no explanation as to why this was happening.  The only thing we, as employees, were being told is that emails were recieved that said, "No payroll is to be released today. Sorry."

This continued exactly like this for sometime until they slowly became an entire pay period behind.  Then it got to two pay periods behind and right as they were a day from becoming three behind we would recieve a check.  To clarify this somewhat, we would never go, or at least I have never went an entire six weeks without a check. We still get paid somewhere within a three week span, but it is never regular or on time.  The pay period ending date on the last check I recieved was dated 8-30-12 and todays date is 10-12-12.  This check was supposed to be given out on 9-7-12.

This is beyond rediculous and I wish someone or some entity would do something about this.  We cannot pay our bills or raise a family like this.  If we do call the labor board, word will be sent down for them to fire us and this has happened a few times.  Someone please help.
