BAD BUSINESS, NO SENSE OF HONOR OR CUSTOMER SERVICE. STAY AWAY. There are complaints online by others. Since the day I signed I have had issues with these people and the vehicle. I was told the vehicle was running properly and there would be no problem yet I had to tell them several times about how the car was showing me signs of failure. They reassured me it was something minor that can be fixed.

I told them it had a bad odor of tobacco and was dirty as well. I took the car in a few days after for detailing and repairs. They kept the car for one week, replaced the seat but did not detail it and now the seat only adjusts manually and the heated seat button remains turned on.

5 weeks after driving the car and telling them about the issues several times the car would not run one day. I took it to them and they said its the TRANSMISSION, will cost $1200 to repair. I told them I gave them all my money for down payment weeks ago. In addition to loan payments, I was offered to add $200 payments monthly for a year, uh?... That is $2400! When I asked why I was simply told the manager must make a profit. I was told no warranty existed and all cars are sold as is. That was not the original discussion. I'm stuck with payments on a vehicle my family can't use. What a way to treat people! CARPLEX or whatever they call themselves is RUN BY LIARS AND CHEATS! BE CAREFUL! Stay away from this place.

You had no business buying a vehicle if you can't maintain it at your expense

AUTHOR: FloridaNative - ()

It is very simple: either you get a warranty or you maintain the vehicle at your own expense. The dealership is giving you the 'customer service' you agreed to in your written contract. You can't blame this on the dealership because you are the one that made the decision to purchase when you didn't have the funds to buy and maintain the car.

If you gave "all your money" to the dealership to buy the vehicle than you had no business buying it! Vehicles need maintenance and repair. If you start off the purchase not only in debt with a vehicle loan, but also no savings to make repairs - then don't buy the vehicle.

It's too late for you now because you own it and you have to figure out a way to pay for repairs from a decent mechanic. Don't bring your car back to the dealership that sold you the vehicle. Get a good mechanic at a local shop not affliated with the dealership and have him/her go through the entire car to see what is working and what needs repair.

If you continue to use the mechanic at the dealership you are in for a world of hurt and major expense. That type dealership you purchased the vehicle from uses inferior mechanics and the repair shop as an additional profit center. The problem with that is any repair you get done through that shop is not likely to solve your mechanical issue as it 'pays' for them to bandaid your vehicle together to keep you coming back to buy more repairs.

By the way, don't give your vehicle back to the dealership. That's a repo. If you have a repo on your record, it will keep you in a position of buying from substandard dealerships like this one. To get out of that loop, you need to do the right thing now by repairing the vehicle at your own expense (per your contract).

What are the terms of the written warranty?

AUTHOR: coast - ()

“I was told no warranty existed and all cars are sold as is. That was not the original discussion.”

Written agreements take precedence over verbal agreements. The Federal Trade Commission's Used Car Rule requires dealers to post a Buyer’s Guide that states whether the vehicle is being sold AS-IS or with a warranty. Did you sign a document that states you agree to an AS-IS sale or were you provided with a written warranty? I have asked this question to many posters on this website but rarely receive a response.
