I called cash call today 5/16/13 to pay off my entire loan completely. This is somewhat funny. The woman on the phone told me that CashCall is currently being sued and that if you live in Massachusetts as I do they cannot accept payment from me, until the case is resolved. I asked her when that would be and she basically said once it goes through the court system. Currently I'm not accruing any additional interest and the account is just sitting there.
I then asked her if the entity was illegal. If so, I don't have to pay them a cent. I wanted to honor my debt, however they wouldn't take payment because they couldn't. If years from now they come chasing me for the money because their situation is resolved. Let them take me to court.
Is anyone else aware of this current lawsuit? They didn't take payment from me this month and wouldn't let me pay them off in full. I laughed with the lady saying I never dealt with anyone who wouldn't take a payment!
