Here's what happened. This only happened about 2 times so far.

Ok, so sometime in either 2011 or 2010 I was watching TV and saw a commercial being advertised about how they buy gold/silver and stuff.  The commercial was about "Cash4Gold".  I called the number on the screen and asked for the "free gold mailing kit". The website, commercial and person on the phone stated that it would ship in 5-7 business days. It actually took 7-14 business days.

That right there is false advertisement. Anyways, when I received the gold kit in the mail. I filled out the forms and put the following items into the mailing bag: earings, rings, bracelets, necklaces, broken chains, charms and a 14K gold necklace. there was like 15 items in total. this stuff was real gold and real silver. I mailed it in. Almost 2 weeks later I get a check in the mail from Cash4Gold. So I opened it and there was a letter that explained how they supposively proccessed the jewelry. The letter only stated that they had taken "half" of the 15 times and said it was worthless and tried to say the 14K gold necklace was 12K gold when it was actually 14K gold. The rest of the items they said was only worth about $11.16. Those items were worth alot more than what Cash4Gold was giving me. I returned the check along with a letter explaining how I was very dissatisfied with the check and wanted my items back. I also stated how I felt like I was being ripped off.

After I got my items back I saw another commercial on TV about how they buy gold/silver and stuff.

This commercial was advertised by a MR. T for "GoldPromise". So I gave it a try. Got the free gold kit and mailed in the same 15 items. This time I actually got $75 and I mean $75 for those 15 items. If you compare the $75 from GoldPromise to the $11.16 from Cash4Gold. That's a $63.84 RIPP OFF by Cash4Gold.  ($75 - $11.16 = $63.84)

The 2nd time this happened was in December of 2012 which is now. I had some more jewelry I wanted to mail in for cash. I tried to call GoldPromise, but when I did it came up as "Cash America".

I tried the website goldpromise.com and I even emailed them, but I never got a repsonse. I didn't know who else I could try so I tried Cash4Gold again even though I didn't want to. I needed the money though. This time I sent in the following items: (23) rings and (2) chains. It was "real gold" and "real silver" which consisted about (17) gold rings, (5) silver and (1) titanium ring. About like 8K to 12K gold/silver in worth give or take a few. It included about (5) orange gems, (2) pink gems, (1) ruby, (1) saphire, (3) emeralds, (10+) pearls, (75+) diamonds and (5) unknown stones. That's like atleast $50 to $200+ or more. Give or take a few.

I mailed it in. Again, it took 7-14 days to get the check instead of the 5-7 business days thats advertised. I got the check in the mail on the 21st. The check was for $7.15 and I mean $7.15.

When I saw it, I was just like "what the hell". The "explenation letter" only stated that out of all the items I sent in. "Only 1 ring" was so called 10K gold and they wanted to give me $7.15 for it.

That right there is a HUGE RIP OFF! I wrote them another letter explaining how pissed off I am about how they ripped me off for the 2nd time. I even stated that I was going to report them to the BBB and possibly the FBI as well. I haven't done it yet, but I'm probably going to though. I'm going to return the check along with the letter i wrote and get all my items back. That's very bad business to get treated like that by them. The commercial showed a picture of a person holding a wad of cash and a hand full of jewelry. There was no proof to prove that it was even real or not and there was no testimonial proof to state that any one else got that kind of money from it. I even checked their website Cash4Gold.com and I never saw anything that stated or showed that they were credited or backed up by the Better Business Bureau. That right there shows you that there "not" a "legit" or "reliable" company. All legit and reliable companys are backed up and credited by the Better Business Bureau. They woulld have to be.

Also to add that might be helpfull or usefull to this report.

When using "GoldPromise" services and I found out directly from them that they do the following:

1) Call customer to check up on them
2) Call customer to see if they have any questions or concerns
3) Call customer to see if they have any complaints or problems with anything
4) Call customer to see if they received the "free gold kit", "money/check" or "returned jewelry"

This was stated to me on phone directly from a GoldPromise employee.

Cash4Gold does nothing. not a single thing and they never call the customer for anything. Not even to check up on them.
