Stephen D Bowerman, took money in promise for a puppies from his upcoming litters. He has taken well over 10 thousand dollars from a collective group of 6 people (there may be more victims we just dont' know). He has not communicated with anyone afte takign our money. He has told many lies about the puppies and the reasons he has not sent them. All of his victims requested refunds and he telsl them "the checks are in the mail" yet they never come. He has a variety of stories he weaves and no one knows what the truth is. However the truth is, he has our money and will not give it back.

All of us have notified the Alaska State Troopers, some have lawsuits filed, others have appealed to Kennel Clubs and the American Kennel Club.

It is through social media that we found one another and this tells us we are not alone. We all heard different stories that were similiar yet different in some of the "facts" he used. However we all stand without puppies and out substantial amounts of money.

The moral of our story is don't buy a puppy from him. Don't be fooled by him or his stories. Don't send him money. . . . seek out another breeder. We do not want anyone else to be out money or harmed financially by this man and his wife.

Cassiopeia Bouvier des Flandres - Stephen D Bowerman . buyer you have been warned!

  • took money from a buyer in NH did not refund his money he had to notify Pay pal (they are investigating)
  • took money from a buyer in the northeast after soliciting her for money and then agreeing to sell a puppy that was bred in may but did not deliver it. Wants her to drop investigation with Pay pal for her money well over 2000!
  • took money from a lady in alaska last year for a dog to be born in January (apparently same dog that was promised to someone in June!) dogs do not have litters that closely so someone is lying here. The dogs born in january were either not born or were all put to sleep as Bowerman suggested to people. he even said he gave them to the veterans. what ever the puppy for the woman was not produced. yet another female was bred, and was to deliver in June on the 6th.
  • those puppies are said to have died! that woman never recieved her money back
  • yet another buyer deposited for a puppy in june from teh dog who delievered (or so he says) in january. This buyer found out through a message the puppies had died. this person asked for a refund since it was a specific mating they wanted in a specific time frame. The refund was promised but never came. A wire was promised but never came.
  • yet another buyer put money down on the specific litter with a contract that stated she was to get her money back and when he called her to report the june puppies died, he said he woudl return her money. No money came no wire arrived.

The Problem is here that Mr. Bowerman weaves stories and no one but him knows the truth. He aparently has spent or squirreled away everyone's money and refuses to or simply can't return their money. This is not good business practices. While he writes rebuttals and claims people are his friends and that he has offered alternative puppies, all these claims are not true. No one can understand why if he started to have problems why he continued to take money, and not be honest with anyone.

You can't breed a dog in Novemeber who delivers in January and expect her to be bred again in april and deliver in June. The dog you apparently really bred in April and delivered in june if her puppies died, then you bred her again? or did you breed the first b***h again? What is the real story Stephen D Bowerman.

And why will not refund your victims? Don't make excuses, start writing checks that clear and don't bounce. We have been told by a variety of people you are not allowed to write them checks anymore do to the insufficient funds notification they recieve from their banks and have to pay fees for this bounced check.

A good business person refunds their clients no matter who they are if they can't provide the expected product.

Stephen D Bowerman NEVER offered a replacment puppy! The agreement was to get a puppy from Bea and Sully. When the dogs were 5 weeks old he called to say that the litter had died. The entire time leading up to the birth he as sketchy in his emails and never addressed the health and welfare of the puppies.

He used excuses as to not answering texts, emails and phone calls with he was showing, he wrecked his truck, he brought kennel cough back to the dogs at his home.

However he can't explain the time line descrepancies in his various stories to a wide variety of buyers and those he talks to at shows. None of us can ascertain the truth from him.

The other persons who have claims on him, can attest to his non communication as well. When each of us asked for our refunds, he expressed to us that they had been placed in the mail box. However they never came. When he knew he had not sent our money he said he would wire the money. Of course that money never came as well nor word of the wire.

The Attorney General has been notified, There are three lawsuits and Stephen D Bowerman does not seem to know how to return the money he has taken for puppies he promised and did not produce.

Pay pal has an investigation on him as well.

The collective $10,950 dollars comes from 7 individuals that deposited on a puppy that was to be born anywhere from january of this year to june but never came to fruition.

The truth is that he will not return our money with or without a deposit. Since two of his victims do not have signed contracts by him or ourselves the fraud is criminal NOT civil.

While Mr. Bowerman states on his website that deposits are not refundable he has way more money than deposits to refund!

The great consensus of people that all of us have spoken with have been told he is known for this sort of business behaviior.

All of us want our money back, there are NO Excuses for his continued "stories" or justifications. He has never told the truth to any of us and never been honst about what is going on.

Inaccurate Report

POSTED: Monday, September 12, 2016

We had a litter due in July by a female dog that we had bred to our Male.  The female was 5 years old and we had purchased her from the complaintant or one of them since they did not leave who made the report.  The person in question was informed the first week the puppies were born that there was a problem.  I considered her a friend and asked her if she would notify the other two people who were waiting for puppies that there was a problem.  Both of the other people had been sent to me by her and since she knew me and them I thought that would be the best way to handle the matter.  I  do not know where the figure of $10,000.00 came from as there were three deposits made by the three people in question who are all friends.  The others who are local people are waiting for the next litter due in three weeks.

When we lost the litter I informed the lady and told her if she wished I would move her deposit to the next litter which is due in three more weeks.  As per our policy when dealing long distances deposits are always non refundable and it states that on our web site under Gurantee.  We do allow them to move to the next litter and apply their deposit to that litter.  I have to say that in all the litters we have had previously with out any problmes this has really taken me off guard.  As for the three people that are putting out these reports I do not understand their reasoning other then the one whom I considered a friend is the instigator.  Of of the three people one has had his payment refunded and there are still the other two who elected to sue me for 10000.00 for a one thousand dollar deposit.  That is why they have not gotten any money returned.  Stephen Bowerman

Cassiopeia Bouviers
