Catalina Spas will not honor there warranty agreement.

On 2/20/08 The dealer came out to repair my spa. The heater shorted out causing the main breaker to trip. This repair was covered under warranty. A few days later the spa was cold with a code for "sensor sync" "service required".

The dealer came back out, cleared the code, and told me that the #3 pump doesn't work and that the main circuit board needs to be replaced. They said it had to be ordered and that the warranty would not cover it.

The Catalina rep, Rick Whittaker would not explain why. I called Vortex Whirlpool and talked to Cacey. I explained to him the problem and that the warranty states that year 1 THROUGH 3 IS 100% replacement.

He agreed but wanted to see my receipt with the date of purchase. After faxing the receipt he called and said that the wording is confusing and it actually means year 1 TO year 3 and it goes to the next stage, year 4, 50% replacement.

Now to me and any one with common sense, Year 1 Through 3 means THROUGH the 3rd year. I spent a lot of money for this and just want the company to stand behind there product.
