I find it strange that someone who has no notable or impressive college education and has only written one measly book would be so extremely rude, condescending and threatening. Someone who purports herself as an expert apparently and gotten in bed with people that can serve her "about me only" purpose.
I would expect someone notable and famous to be more that way than her. Quite some time ago, I was in Oregon on business and, when I met with her, she initially presents very well. Yet, after the niceities, she was very unreasonable, rude and condescending. I will not support someone who is not true to helping others and instead only serves to honor themselves. I prefer to do business with those of a win-win mindset - good for everyone involved. She is very clearly all about "her".
In addition, she was also the same way on a different day to a business partner of mine who is of the "special needs" category considered handicapped under the ADA. She actually ended up threatening this person!
I will never recommend this person - ever! I will only hire someone as an employee or consultant / speaker if they truly wish to help others outside of their own hidden agendas.
BEWARE is my opinion.

My wife and I have consulted with Ms. Armillas of Pura Marketing and have had a constructive and positive relationship. She gave a short free workshop at which we learned information we felt was relevant to our business.
We viewed some of her previous marketing work and were impressed. We had also purchased her book prior to our consultation to get a feel for the direction this might go. It is reasonably priced and practically written. Our subsequent consultation with her about our business was quite helpful. Her demeanor was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. There has been no hidden agenda that we could detect. Her goal was always focused on specific strategies that we could implement to increase our marketing effectiveness.
I discovered this complaint somewhat by accident in looking up her website through Google and was surprised by it. We did not contact Ms. Armillas prior to this response and were not solicited to make it. In fact, she does not know we are doing it.
This complaint does not represent the Ms. Armillas that we have had dealings with.

I have not known Cathey very long but can attest that, what I do know and have seen, she is a very professional individual who likes to help others. You can see her positive energy & passion to make a difference in person, via email and on her YouTube videos. We also share a few mutual business connections and never once have I heard them say even one negative thing.
With the new year approaching and business slowing down this time of year, I'd say this report was written by a jealous competitor. Besides, the fact that there is only one negative report on this site and nowhere else on the web, I'd say she is doing everything right.
I absolutely despise RipOff Report because I feel it does an severe injustice to true professionals. Clearly it is a very biased website. However, keep in mind when deciding to do business with someone that, if it is just one report, it clearly is not an issue with them or their service, ethics, credibility, education, reputation, or knowledge. Instead, it is one person's actions that are filled with evil intentions and self-fulfilling motives.
In addition, there is a very strong probability that, if an individual has a negative or bad report on here, they will have it somewhere else on the web too. I searched her thoroughly online and found nothing but 100% positive and glowing reviews!
Therefore, please be more professional than the dishonest people who file these one-time reports on here and do not let this one report steer you away from doing business with this amazingly professional woman!
