Cavalry SPC I, LLC is attemtping to sue for credit card debt.  The CA received a debt validation letter in the proper time however never responded.  The CA one year later filed a law suit.  The attorney for the lawsuit submitted an assignment of bill and sale along with pages of printouts for credit card bills, stating that the documents were authenticated.  After reviewing the documents that were submitted, the assignment was not on letterhead, and the bill statements were missing two consecutive months. 

There was no calculation sheet to show how the amount was calculated.  After further review, the assignment of bill and sale showed that Cavalry SPC I, LLC was spelled Calvary SPC I, LLC, which is not the business listed on the business license for the state of Maryland.  Therfore Calvary SPC, LLC the current owner's listed on the assignment can not sue becaue they are not licensed.  A stupid clerical error cost the company.  Always review your documents, I am sure there are many other case like this.
