I thought my probelems with AT&T were over, but they continue to haunt me! Having never had an account with AT&T/CINGULAR, they and their constituents (creditors) have continued to destroy my credit, time and time again. I have had problems with AT&T for over six years and it is both disheartening and disgusting. Finally, last year, the Pennsylvania State Attorney General's Office assisted me with this issue and AT&T and all creditors removed my name & negative (& fraudelent) accounts from my credit reprots. AT&T sent me a bill denoting a balance of zero, even though I never had an account. No apology was ever offered and frankly, I was simply glad that the ordeal was over. While I could have further pursued a civil suit, I did not do so. I chose to put the incident behind me and was truly grateful with the PA Attorney General's Office.
Unfortunately, two months ago, I discovered that Cavalry Portfolio, LLC, had made over ten attempts to check my credit report prior to placing an "OWED" bill from AT&T/Cingular on my credit report. I could not believe that this was again happening to me!! I attempted to call them over ten times, left messages, and was never called back. Finally, I reached a "representative" who refused to give me a confirmation number that we spoke and stated that the agency had sent me a bill. She stated that she would send it again. Of course, I received nothing, as I am fully aware of the fraudelent activity revolving this agency & AT&T/Cingular, though I though that it was behind me. I did not think that AT&T/Cingular and or Cavalry Portfolio LLC would be so brazen as to assume they could continue to practice in this manner.
I have recently sent certified letters to Cavalry P LLC, AT&T/Cing., & the PA Attorney General's Office, in hopes to finally have this resolved. While the Office is again graciously handling my complaint, AT&T/Cingular has not responded & Cavalry has sent me a identity theft dispute form, that I am to have notarized.
All of this is highly ridiculous. I will not send a dispute form when the identity theft is being instituted & created by both Cavalry & AT&T/Cingular.
I hope to finally have this issue resolved. I do not want to spend the entirety of my life fighting this companies. Truthfully, I can not understand why and how these facilities are allowed to operate & employ individuals who essentially are told to lie on a consistent basis.
I will not hesitate to seek further legal action and I encourage everyone else to speak out against these companies and complain, complain, complain!
